I met great people and had a lovely stay. Hours are reasonable and respected. Marzena was lovely and even if she wasn’t around every day she was easy to reach. There is a reason this hostel has volunteers who keep returning.

Marzena is the most amazing Host ever to exist! No one treats their volunteers with so much support, connection, respect, equality, love and kindness as she does. Volunteering at her hostel is simply the biggest pleasure , you just want to help and do anything you can because you love being there so much. It feels like just living at home completing daily tasks. I haven't volunteered at many hostels but I know nothing will compare to this. Even volunteers from 10 years ago still return to this amazing hostel because the magical homely atmosphere never changes. Can't wait to return home soon!

I can't stop talking about the hostel to everyone! This was my fourth time here, if that says anything :-) I'm so grateful for Marzena and the other wonderful volunteers I've met at each stay. I've been calling it “summer camp” and I think it's very accurate. Being a part of the team this time was incredibly rewarding. The hostel is beautiful and cozy, the mountains are waiting to be explored, and having a cozy free place to stay in exchange for the workload is 1000% worth everything. I <3 u GBL ⭐️

The hostel is just outside of town, which makes it a really peaceful place to stay. It’s a big, cozy cabin-style house with a very welcoming feel, and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. The national park is right across the street, so there are plenty of opportunities to hike, explore, or just enjoy being in nature.
The work-to-free-time ratio is very much appreciated, and Marzena, the owner, is genuinely kind and accommodating. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed place to stay and disconnect for a while.

I had an incredible time at GBL! It truly felt like a family and I have made so many friends from all across the world. Marzena is the best host you could ask for. Friendly, enthusiastic and always willing to help. The work is easy and you have plenty of time to explore the beauty of the tatras mountains. Mia, Mao and Majka truly make the experience unique. If you love animals and nature this is the place for you. The evening entertainment is great for meeting people and trying some traditonal polish dishes e.g. Pierogi.

I had the best time volunteering at this hostel, as soon as I arrived it quickly felt like home. The hostel has a cozy, social vibe. The work is fairly simple and you get plenty of time off to enjoy the beautiful mountains. The host Marzena is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this volunteering experience to anyone!

Volunteering at the gbl hostel was such an amazing experience, Marzena is a great host, she takes care of the guests and volunteers equally, so it really feels like home there.
There's plenty of free time to use as you please, the tasks are simple and intuitive. I feel like this place attracts all the best people, I would recommend this experience to everyone🤍

Volunteering here was so incredibly fun! Other volunteers were really nice and welcoming. I learned everything I needed really quickly. I hiked many routes in the most beautiful mountains!! Good Bye the hostel really feels like a home. I was volunteering for a month and in that time I made many life long friends. If you wan't to have the best time of your life, I would recommend this place!!!🩷
