The Exchange

The programs consist the followings tasks: - Facilitation on the children's clubs( sports,girls and child rights clubs) in these clubs children debating ,playing indoor and outdoor game which relate with topic to learn about responsibilities and rights - Lead children to learn different traditional dance,drama ,drawings .NB: Children are aware with their own traditional dance these are using to advocate or demand their rights to the community


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teach or help guests or local communities practice a new sport.

Teaching Languages: Teach a language to guests or local communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.


Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner Swahili

Under 18 years old

Be from outside Tanzania

Program Details

Program focuses:

(a) Children Rights:These clubs are meant to raise children self –confidence and expression. During clubs session the children come across with the agenda concerned with their well-being.

(b) Youth Empowerment in Economic Independence:In this program we enhance the local youth involvement in planning, implementation and monitoring of development projects to increase their ability in employability.

(c) Community engagement: Our program aims to work with schools and community leaders to address child rights issues in relation to cultural practices and barriers which hinder children and youth development.

Activities & Shift

In this project the children develop skills, knowledge and confidence through clubs focused on sports, human rights and girls empowerment.
