We’re looking for a social superstar to join the Landing Pads crew at our Brunswick hostel! Your mission? Help turn a building full of strangers into a little community. You’ll welcome new guests, make sure everyone feels included and safe, and organise social activities that get people talking. There’s some cleaning and admin too—hostel life isn’t all trivia and good chats! You’ll be social, responsible and great at bringing people together.
13 hours of help per week
Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Night Shift: Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.
Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.
Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.
3 days off per week

Please note the following:
- We require at least 4 weeks guaranteed continuous availability to consider you for this position ideally 8 - 12 weeks for the right person
- Every hour you work we credit you $24 off the cost of your following week's accommodation
- Hostel social Crew generally work between 8-14 hours a week, including time taken to plan & host social events
- If your credits amount to less than your full week's accommodation ( Weekly discount rate and twin share of small dorm room ) charge , you are required to pay the outstanding amount on Wednesdays ( This arangement allws you to stay on even when you get onther job and can only do limited hours at the Hostel.
- If your credits amount to more than your full week's accommodation charge extra credits roll over to the following week
- Rostering is based on availability, performance & Credits
Social events are BBQs, movie nights, games, Crafts, arts, family dinners plus external events. On shift you also are responsible for basic cleaning & housekeeping, taking payments and checking in new guests., Informing and reminding guests of hostel rules and reporting to management if there are breaches or concerns with guests behaviour
We are a working hostel so we have a code of conduct in place to make sure that everyone can not only have a fun and safe time, but get a good night's sleep. We treat our guests as adults but breachs of the rules are followed up and enforced.
