Description: The longer you stay, the lower the weekly contribution becomes. The fee includes shared accommodation, Wi-Fi, basic groceries, daily organic lunch (Mon–Fri), training, workshops, presentations, guided tours, regional hikes, community living, and Portuguese classes (depending on availability), plus full immersion in an international eco-project experience.

At Eco Caminhos, we accept volunteers with all levels of experience, including no experience. We want to share knowledge and know-how and provide training and workshops where applicable. All we require of you is enthusiasm and dedication!
Short-term volunteers contribute around 24 hours per week, spread over 3 working days. Tuesdays and Thursdays are free. You can help in bioconstruction or organic farming. Outside working hours and on your days off, you are free to relax or explore Nova Friburgo and Rio de Janeiro.
Once a week, the Eco Caminhos community gathers in the evening to connect, cook together or enjoy a bonfire. It’s a space for sharing, relaxing and community life.
Airport transfer is not included, but we can help arrange a trusted driver from Nova Friburgo for a safe arrival and departure, or provide clear instructions if you prefer to come independently.
A typical day looks like:

7:00 – Work (bioconstruction, farming or agroforestry)
9:30 – Coffee break
9:45 – Work continues
12:00 – Lunch & rest
13:00 – Work continues
16:00 – End of activities
17:00 – Language exchange (Portuguese/English)

20:00 – Free time, games, movies or bonfire
