The experience

We kindly request volunteers who are passionate about cooking and eager to learn about African cuisine to join us in this endeavor. By lending your time and culinary skills, you will not only contribute to the well-being of the children but also gain valuable knowledge about the rich and diverse culinary traditions of Africa.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Restaurants: Get discounts at nearby restaurants.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

You will have the opportunity to work alongside our dedicated kitchen staff, who will guide you through the preparation of various African dishes. From staple foods like Ugali and Githeri to mouthwatering stews and flavorful vegetarian options, you will experience the vibrant tastes and aromas that characterize African cuisine.
