STAY IN A TYPICAL NAIROBI SLUM AND EXPERIENCE A DIFFERENT LIFE


The Exchange

on the first day you'll be taken on a slum tour before you start working on the project.There will be an induction program to familiarize with the program.


What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Child Care: Help look after, educate and instruct children.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teach a language to guests or local communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.


Requirements

Fluent English

Between 18 and 50 years old

Be from outside Kenya

Accepts solo applications and also couples and pairs


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Activities & Shift

Teaching – languages, school subjects (mathematics, sciences, computer lessons)
Coaching – personal hygiene, good behavior, safety rules
Mentor ship – painting, gardening, sports, music, arts
Assisting Administrative duties – Advocacy and sensitization – education and , field trips,
clean ups, environmental care
