The experience

Volunteer on this project, you will work closely with local community centers, providing support to women and their families. You role will be focused on providing mentoring support around management,​ ​​financing and educational development to increase independence among the women and allow mothers to better support their families. Many of the women’s groups are involved in craft​-making through basket weaving, sewing, tailoring and etc


What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 70 Per week

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: Volunteers Contribute $70 per week and any additional week they contribute $70 extra. This covers their full board accommodation and meals, Shower and Western Toilet, Certificate and recommendation letter at the end of the program.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Program Details

Women in Uganda can face a range of challenges, including discrimination, low social status, lack of economic self-sufficiency, and greater risk of HIV/AIDS infection.

The aim of the project is to provide support to young women in developing the skills needed to carry out income-generating​ ​activities so they can provide for themselves and their families.
