I can only recommend to spend your time abroad volunteering at the hostel. I would do it all over again without any hesitation. The whole staff is so open and lovely and are also more than willing to introduce you to the culture or help you to figure out what exciting things you could do in your freetime. Speaking of the tasks, I also really enjoyed working the breakfast and bar shifts. If you're indecisive whether this is the best volunteering experience for a first time, you don't have to. the hostel will welcome you with open arms and make you miss them like a second family when you leave. I couldn't recommend a better place, the work is manageable and often ended earlier, the staff is exceptional and it's easy to travel on your days off since it's close to the station. The best thing is the connections you make with the other volunteers, from all around the world, the shared experiences, the laughs and the fun nights. Thank you for everything!! See you soon 💕

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel. The experience was enriching in so many ways. I met amazing people from all over the world, learnt about different cultures, improved my English, learnt new skills about the day to day of running a hostel, etc. Besides, I felt welcome since the moment I got there. Volunteers, the staff and the owners were all really nice and friendly and that made me feel very comfortable. Choosing this place for my first volunteering experience was the best decision I could have made. The hostel is truly charming, and the staff is just as wonderful. They are always attentive and ready to help with anything you need, making you feel welcome from the very first moment. As for the work, it's simple and easy to learn, with shifts always respected and, in many cases, finishing earlier than expected. It's been a 10/10 experience, both because of the place itself and because of how special it becomes thanks to the other volunteers you share so much time.

The hostel was my first volunteering experience, and I couldn't have picked a better place for it. The best part was definitely the people and community. Everyone was so open and welcoming. I'll really miss the evenings together, talking for hours and playing cards... The work was really manageable, and we often finished earlier. I loved using the hostel bikes to explore and visit different places on my days off. After five weeks, saying goodbye was much harder than I expected. I made amazing friendships here! I'm so grateful to everyone at the hostel for making this experience so special.❤️

I had my first volunteering experience at the hostel and I couldn't have asked for a better place! The staff and the volunteers are amazing people and I felt welcomed from the first day. The cleaning shift is easy and it takes a few hours (besides, many times we finished early) so you have enough free time - as a matter of fact, during the month that I spent at the hostel, I visited many cities across the Netherlands :). The thing that I miss and loved the most is the time spent with other volunteers and the feeling of a big family, we had a lot of fun together! 💛✨️

I absolutely loved my time at the hostel!!It was outstanding how welcoming volunteers, permanent staff and the owners were. Also you get to know the other volunteers quite quickly as you share a dorm with them, have meals together and do some fun activities in your free time (if you like). I was part of the cleaning team, the work was simple and we often finished earlier :) next to that, Tilburg is a cute small town and perfect for visiting Amsterdam, Rotterdam… the time at the hostel will always be special to me and I'd love to come back someday!! Thank you for the wonderful experience 🫶
