I had such a lovely time here. Helen and Phil are great hosts, and everyone in the hotel room is so lovely and welcoming.

One of the great things is how close it is to the train station, which makes it really easy to get around and explore. The town is lovely with lots of different walks you can make where you will most definitely meet some of the new forest horses and donkeys.

This was my first time volunteering and I must say it was truly a wonderful experience. The atmosphere has been very welcoming and I've learned a lot from working with the other housekeepers especially. I definitely recommend it, if you're looking for a comfortable stay in a beautiful location! Helen and Phil are easy to get along with :)

I absolutely recommend the hotel as an experience for any volunteer. In the month I stayed there I felt really welcome, and everything was exactly as presented on the host's page and agreed beforehand with Helen. The work is not demanding if you have the patience to learn and the flexibility to switch tasks every once in a while, and the kindness and livelyhood of the people around makes it feel rewarding. The room is cosy and you will have everything you need, the area is well connected to towns and cities and quiet enough to let you relax and explore nature. I had a great time, thank

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel so much!! Helen,Phil and the team were really welcoming and it didn't take long for me to feel like being part of the team. The other Volunteer during my stay, Maddi, was super nice and supportive. The working hours were most days from 11 to 16 for me, leaving me enough time before and after work. After finishing work in the rooms i went to help in the tearooms. On my free days I went to see a couple cities which I could easily reach by train or bus and explored the beautiful new forest. I definitely recommend volunteering here, i had a lovely time. thank you!!

The last year and a half at the hotel has absolutely flown by, and I've loved every second of it. The team quickly became like family to me, and every single person played a part in shaping my personal growth and development. I won't sugar-coat it—you'll work hard, but the experience is incredibly rewarding and worth every moment. The skills, memories, and friendships I've gained here will stay with me for life. A huge thank you to Helen and Phil for giving me this amazing opportunity, and to all the volunteers I had the pleasure of sharing this journey with.

My experience in this place was sooo great! Helen and Phil are so kind, and the team is very lovely. The working hours are respected and you could have personal time/spend your dayoff, exploring the national park and beautiful places nearby.(personally I highly recommend Isle of Wight, for sure, Southampton, Bournemouth and Southbourne are great too!!!) Another volunteer Maddi is very kind and helpful! I had an unforgettable time with these lovely people and really enjoyed it. 🤩Once again Thank you soooo much!! 💕💕

The hosts were kind, the food was good, and Brockenhurst is a beautiful place for anyone who enjoys nature, cycling, and long walks. The work consists of cleaning four rooms and then helping with the café dishes, which is usually quite busy. The shift is from 11 am to 4 pm with no breaks, and a sandwich is provided at the end. Unfortunately, I injured my back on my second day. Although I tried to continue, my workload was not reduced and the mattress, which sank in the lower back area, did not allow me to recover. Therefore, I had to leave early and pay for another accommodation to recover.

It was definitely one of the best experiences I've had in my life. All staff members are extremely lovely; they replaced my family for the time I stayed in Brockenhurst, and they are fabulous in that way. The work is very varied: it starts with housekeeping and ends with helping in the tearoom. All tasks were explained as mentioned in the description, and they are not difficult once you've learned them. I enjoyed every day working in the hotel and was always excited to go back to work after a day off. I highly recommend this host to everyone who likes working in a lovely team.

I really enjoyed my time at the hotel. The place is lovely and Helen & Phil and tea room staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Most of the work is cleaning the rooms and then help in the tea room when necessary, which I think should be mentioned as a task but isn't. Overall, it was a great place and great experience and I really recommend it.

I really enjoyed all the time I spent helping the New Forest Business Partnership. We attended many interesting events where I was able to practice my skills in filming and social media. More than just volunteering, it was a great opportunity to improve my professional skills. Matthew and David were very kind and made sure I had everything I needed at the house. The New Forest area is a truly beautiful part of England. I was able to visit many stunning places using the local buses, and I highly recommend exploring the beautiful beaches nearby.
