I had an amazing stay at the hostel. The tasks are easy and the shifts are short. I rarely had to work past 12:00 so I had lots of time to explore nearby destinations! Everybody is extremely welcoming and they make an effort to have group meals and promote inclusivity. The town itself is very charming, I became familiar with the local vendors and shopkeepers during my day-to-day activities. The team was also very patient with me while I was learning to speak Spanish. I will miss living here!

This experience in such a beautiful part of Argentina could not have been better! I felt at home. Humahuaca is a charming place and I didn't want to leave at all. Juan is a great host. I even had the opportunity thanks to his second hostel in Purmamarca to sleep one night for free and I totally loved Purmamarca 🧡 the hostel is really special place 🥰 Gracias por todo!!!

An absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I felt at home. Juan and Pili, the owners, are lovely and welcomed me in an incredible way.
The place's ambiance is super calm and relaxed, perfect for resting and disconnecting. In addition, the location is excellent, which made it a lot easier for me to get around, discover a ton of places, and live the experience from the inside! Highly recommended

What can I tell you about the Gira? The hostel is home, it's home, it's family, it's a place that I recommend a lot for everyone who loves to travel, share, know different cultures, experience incredible moments and know beautiful places that Quebrada de Humahuaca has. The Gira is very well located, next to the center of Humahuaca and near the city's viewpoint, around there there are markets, museums and plazas where Humahuaca makes a beautiful place to live. I come to the Gira to volunteer since 2022 and I recommend to all travelers to experience that beautiful experience of being part of that family.

At the hostel I started volunteering in 2019, and since then I go every year to share with the family that Juan and Pili formed at the hostel; they make us feel at home and that is very important to us travelers. The hostel is in the heart of Humahuaca's historic center, and it is beautiful, full of art, with a terrace that invites you to look at the skies and the surrounding mountains. The tasks are simple and the hostel is super cozy. There I left my mark with my mosaic art and murals. Thanks, Gira, for all that you give me. I recommend 100%!!!!
