The location is perfect, right in downtown Toronto, making it easy to explore the city. I also loved the flexibility: we could choose our days off and sometimes our shifts when we had plans. I had a really nice experience volunteering here. The location is great, everyone was friendly, the hostel is clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Breakfast is included and available throughout the day (basic with bread, oats, jam, peanut butter, cereals and some fruit). I really appreciated that my preferences regarding work shifts and days off were taken into consideration. There was also always someone available!
It’s definitely not a social hostel. But I spend a lot of time with the other volunteers!
Overall, I had a very positive experience and would recommend volunteering here 😊

I am having a great time staying at the hostel. I needed a couple weeks to find my rhythm and my work method but I am feeling getting better every week. The location is amazing, close to everything and was staying there with great volunteers group which I am going to keep in touch with after this experience.

The management team & receptionists were all very lovely & amazing to work with. The workload itself was pretty straightforward & easy to do. The location is excellent and the hostel is comfortable and well organized. The breakfast is basic but good, and volunteers can have breakfast whenever they want. It's worth mentioning that the workload can sometimes be demanding, depending on the number of tasks. Also, volunteers are not always given the full 21 hours of work required, so they are expected to pay rent of $12 per hour not worked. This is a quiet hostel with no social activities or organized events, but I still met a lot of great people there.
