I had an absolutely spectacular stay at the lodge! Roque and Patricia are wonderful people; I admire their kindness and work ethic. I not only got to have fun painting and decorated their pousada, but I also had a learning experience that opened my mind to new ideas. I grew as a person during my stay in Paraty. I would definitely recommend the lodge for other travelers, particularly if you like being outside. For me, I enjoyed the fact that most of my work was done independently, but this experience might not be good for people who aren't comfortable without direction. Thank you for everything!

Very nice place to connect with nature, the schedules are respected and Patricia is someone worth talking to, because Mr. Roque is in the hospital (to whom I wish a speedy recovery). I didn't have much contact with the hosts, but I had a great time.

They have put all their love into both the meals and the interactions. Always willing to resolve any problem! The nature surrounding the guesthouse is straight out of a fairy tale. Tasks were always easy, the food made with love and served on time never fell short, I never went hungry. Patricia and Roque are hardworking and honest people; I admire them a lot and they are a role model to follow. They really work and do much more than the young people I have known. They are doing an excellent job in this place for the volunteers and guests! It is a place of peace ✌🏽 especially in a place like Paraty that is chaotic and VERY touristy. And finally, thank you Roque for those farewell tacos; they made me feel at home 🇲🇽🌮 🤝💕

Sorry to write this review because the experience itself was nice. The main problem was the mold; the bamboo-roofed room I stayed in was already half moldy when I arrived and it got worse over time, to the point that all my things were covered in mold and I had to spend €20 to wash everything twice when I left. I was supposed to stay one month and a half, but after two weeks I had to flee. Life with them is very nice; we made pizza and the cacao ceremony and Roque and Patricia are nice people but communication needs to improve.

It was an excellent experience! Roque and Patrícia are amazing, incredibly kind and welcoming people. I felt very well received from the first moment. The place is peaceful, surrounded by nature, great for those seeking peace and connection. Although it's a bit far from the center, there is a free bus that makes access quite easy. I loved spending my time with them and I highly recommend this experience!
