I had an amazing experience at the hostel!! It was a great introduction into volunteering, and both the hosts and other volunteers were so welcoming and fun! If you're looking for a good way to enjoy Austria at your own pace, I definitely recommend this experience , as cleaning only occurred like 1-2 times a week, so I had plenty of time to travel to the surrounding cities and mountains. Would 100% recommend!! Thank you Marc and Anika for your hospitality and this amazing opportunity!!

The room was super comfortable, tasks were light, and I loved every moment here sharing with the other volunteers. I stayed 10 days, but wished it were a month! I completely fell in love with Mauterndorf and can't wait to return. If you're hesitating, don't—this is the best spot ever! Thank you, Mark & Anika! ❤️

My experience at the hostel was marvellous! Anika and Marc want you to have the most of the experience. They will give you tips about Lungau's places to visit and it will be breathtaking . Anytime you message them, they reply you right away. Your room will be comfortable, quiet and beautiful. I truly recommend this experience for everyone who wants to escape from the city, exploring its nature and mountains. They also respect your hours, privacy and you'll always feel safe. I hope to come back soon to visit and I already miss Mauterndorf, Anika, Marc and Tommy!

Had a lovely time here, plenty of room in the apartment and I didn't mind the work at all, it was even kind of fun. There were many opportunities to go out and do activities. There is lots to see in the surrounding areas, and the town is very social as well so there were several events. Anika and Marc were fantastic hosts and would invite us for activities as well, I felt very cared for by them. I loved Mauterndorf, I'm glad I got to spend so much time in a beautiful town. Would definitely recommend this experience.

Anika and Marc were incredibly welcoming, considerate, and fun hosts. They went out of their way to make sure we could meet with other Worldpackers in the area, get out and about in the area and experience some local events. Communication was supportive and clear the whole time, including logistics and managing expectations. The workload is more than manageable and gives you a great opportunity to travel nearby and explore the local area. Anika and Marc really go out of their way to make this a valuable experience. I can't wait to visit again or catch up somewhere in the world.

This was my first volunteer experience and it’s going to be hard to top!!! Anika and Marc are so welcoming and there is plenty of hiking, swimming and cycling to do around Mauterndorf. I am incredibly grateful for all the time that I spent in the hostel. Anika and Mark have been the kindest and most helpful hosts. I'm so happy that I got the chance to meet them, as well as many other amazing people during my stay. The surroundings are so beautiful, and I've been able to explore many stunning places nearby and also in other regions of Austria. The tasks at the place are very manageable, so I'd definitely recommend this experience to anyone, and I truly hope I get the chance to come back in the future! Thank you again for everything!
