I had a very nice experience at the hostel; to be honest I had zero expectations and it was very enriching, especially because of the bonds I made during volunteering. The hours agreed upon are respected, moreover Diego provides weekly meals for the whole team. The hostel is very well located, which allows you to know Viña, and feel like part of the place. I would definitely recommend this experience, Viña is a beautiful city, there are many places to visit and Valparaíso which is also magical and mystical. Infinitely grateful for the beautiful sunsets, the lovely company, the love, and the floppy.

It was my first volunteer experience and, honestly, it exceeded my expectations. I met incredible people and I enjoyed it a lot; it was low season and there wasn't much to do, but the tasks that are done are a piece of cake. I felt at home and it's a place I would return to without a doubt💜
That said, I'm going to miss Flopy (the hostel's dog)
Regarding the food, every Wednesday they stock vegetables, pasta, legumes, etc. for the staff.
The hostel is in a central area, so the subway is nearby, bus stops, the beach 15 minutes away (walking)

It was a good experience, unfortunately I couldn't complete the duration of my stay due to personal matters unrelated to the place; however, Diego was understanding and I appreciate his hospitality. The place is comfortable and central, the tasks are simple, Flopy is a very calm dog to walk, and the people I shared it with were very kind.

The place has a good location, I met nice people and Floppy 🐶, but my experience as a volunteer was not positive. There were instances of mistreatment on several occasions by a worker who lives in the hostel (Douglas) and by a former worker who returned as a volunteer (Julio). We reported the situation more than once and the owner said that he had asked them to leave, but he also told me that if I felt uncomfortable I could leave. More than a week passed and everything was still the same, so I had to cut my stay short. I feel that there was a lack of leadership and proper handling to prevent these kinds of situations.
