CHILDREN AND WOMEN RIGHTS SUPPORT OFFICER
The experience
-Will make Visits to women groups and house holds in the community
-Follow up cases of violence against women and girls at Police
-Participate in sensitization activities about the rights of women and girls
-Do documentation of stories of change
What you offer
18 hours of help per week
Child Care:
Help look after, educate and instruct children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Discounts on Accommodation:
Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Bikes at your disposal:
You can use our bikes any time you want.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Language lessons:
Take free language classes at our place.
Certificate:
Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Intermediate English or Intermediate English
Over 18 years old
Accepts solo applications and also couples and pairs

-To have at least knowledge of working with Children, women and girls especially victims of violence and abuse
-Willingness to work in very remote places
-Having ability to interact with diverse culture and behavior
-Should have skills in counselling and guidance, Team work
-Should own personal working devices like Camera, Laptop for documentation purposes
Activities & Shift
This is an overview of the various activities on arrival in Uganda but it is subject to changes depending on various Targets of the day/week/month
-Breakfast 7:30AM to 8:30AM
-Briefing about the day's Targets 8:30AM to 8:50AM
-Set out to field Daily expected time 8:50AM to 1:00PM
-Review meetings, Monday and Wednesday 9:00AM to 10:00AM
Rules
-A volunteer Must not walk alone without a host staff of the organization
-All volunteers must sign a commitment to child protection form
-Alcohol and drugs are prohibited for the period when the volunteer shall serve with the organization.
