PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Visit Kakamega rain forest and Lake Victoria as well as other natural attractions throughout Kenya.
Gain different home stay experiences, allowing you to learn various family cultures in Kenya.
Visit tourist attractions around the country, including Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru.

What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 25 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: Volunteers contribute $15 to cover for accommodation and $10 for food per day. However volunteers are welcomed to donate a one off program fee ti cover the general administration for the project

What you get

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Program Details

We’re especially concerned about children and their families living in crowded conditions like slum villages, Manyatta homesteads, refugee camps, from providing meals to elderly neighbors to launching digital mental health campaigns to support youth feeling isolated. Supporting those without access to soap and running water, with scarcely enough food to survive from day.

Activities & Shift

Typical day
We are always flexible we allow our volunteers. Typically have our programs set up in the course of Mondays to Fridays, where each day's activity depends on the day's schedule. Our approach is more convenient since it allows our volunteers to have freedom of choosing a project to build on and advance it to a self-sustainable stage.

Rules

Free-time activities
If you plan to do a safari, you can book your safari and make the arrangements after you already get to the The Golden Eagles network foundation Headquarters. You do NOT need to book your safari when you arrive in Nairobi and do NOT need to pay a deposit then. We recommend that you wait to make these decisions until you get to the home and meet with other volunteers. This way you can schedule trips together.

Other leisure Time activities include;

• Mount Kenya tour where volunteers enjoy Hiking, mountain climbing and sport fishing
• Maasai mara tour where they enjoy Maasai tours and experience the life at Maasai village with very unique cultures
• Trip at the Kenyan coast to enjoy the ocean view, deep sea diving, dolphin watching, mamba village and the swahili dishes
