As well as donations, Our foundation relies heavily on volunteers in order that our many programmes can continue.
We welcome people from all over the world, of all ages and genders, who can offer help through their experiences, skills and hard work. Although there are specific roles that need filling, we also encourage individuals who have alternative project ideas (as long as they fit in with our foundation's aims.
18 hours of help per week
Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.
Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.
Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.
Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

Description: $10 is for food (3 meals a day thus breakfast,lunch & dinner) and $15 Accommodation $ 150 Goes towards reservation fee (planning of logistics and prior preparation on the ground $350 program administration(office stationary, staff salaries/wages
2 days off per week
Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

We want you to get as much out of their experience as possible whilst at the same time, making a difference in the lives of some of the most poverty-stricken people in Kenya. We need volunteer classroom assistants to help out on a daily basis at the TheGen Foundation Academy Schools both Early Child Development(ECD),Primary and High Schools. As classes are large, it is not possible for the teachers to provide one to one support for every child and so classroom assistants are always welcome.
Apart from Teaching, they will be able to offer Medical Service, Building and construction,environmental,social cultural diversity among other interesting exposure projects in the community.
Medical Internships (Primary healthcare and Tropical medicine) Rural business development specialists Pre-med placements Agriculturalists Teachers (primary and secondary) in ESL and science in particular Lay volunteers to help with administration and ancillary clinical work Any persons willing to give schools presentations or to work as patient helpers in hospitals. Placements are ideally for a minimum of three months (with two weeks off mid-placement for independent travel in Kenya). However, we will consider well qualified volunteers for periods as short as four weeks. Most volunteer placements are for periods under six months, but some can be for up to two years. As the project works year-round, volunteers are accepted at any time subject to space being available.
