The Exchange

While we serve as a distinguished eco-lodge for guests and student programs from around the globe who want to learn more about sustainability, the volunteer program allows participants to contribuite to the community in which all members play a part, and all these parts are vital to the complete circle of life that is Rancho Margot.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Teaching Sports: Teach or help guests or local communities practice a new sport.

What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Program Details

The Work Exchange Program is a 4 week commitment in exchange for room and 3 delicious meals daily, and the llifestyle of Rancho Margot. Yoga volunteers require 200 hr YTT and yoga teaching references.

Activities & Shift

Yoga volunteers usually teach one or 2 yoga sessions daily .
In your free time you can help in other areas, according to your interests, such as:
Organic gardens.
Social media.


No smoking or drinking allowed in the dorms area.
Yoga volunteers are expected to keep a healthy lifestyle, according to Yamas and Niyamas of Yoga philosophy.
