The Experience

Be in the heart of San Diego in the Gaslamp Quarter! We have a great team but need a few more energetic and outgoing travelers for housekeeping and helping check in guests. The schedule rotates between day and early to mid evening shifts - you'll still have plenty of time to explore San Diego. We take covid seriously, so no more than 3 volunteers per room. Breakfast everyday, team and guest meals on occasion. Very chill atmosphere.

Maria and Erin are great hosts and better leaders! They are flexible and fun but, most importantly take covid as seriously as we all should be right now. You’ll feel safe and empowered in your experience at Gaslamp hostel. I highly recommend if you’re looking to work-trade in San Diego!

This is the hostel to volunteer at in San Diego. Management is top tier, flexible, and organized. The accommodations are more than enough and they will put any skills you have and want to use to work. Highly recommend staying and working here.

Maria replied

Volunteering at Gaslamp Hostel was nothing less than perfect. Erin and Maria are so kind and understanding and truly care about their volunteers. Though it's a new hostel, they've been in the hostel business for years and know it in and out. This place was an incredible home for one month. It's clean, the amenities are awesome, and the people I met were incredible. Definitely an unforgettable experience here and I would recommend it to anyone.

Maria replied

Mila, thank you! We miss you around here and hope to see you again someday.
