I volunteered at the hostel; you work 20 hours in a few days and you have plenty of days off to visit and do very fun excursions... Being a volunteer you get a discount on excursions. My job was to boil eggs for the guests, make sure there was no shortage of butter and jam, to make beds, and to clean bathrooms and the kitchen... There is plenty of time and it's very well located, near Plaza de Armas... The workers were very kind, explaining how to do the tasks of the beds and the kitchen, with Luis at the reception I could take salsa classes, very fun... I recommend it 100%

I really enjoyed staying at the hostel. I just felt there was a lack of clarity in how the tasks were communicated, because they were explained in one way and, in another shift, an employee said they should be done differently. This ended up causing situations where I was told off for doing 'wrong', which caused some frustration. Apart from that, I have nothing to complain about; everything went as expected and I spent several very good days there.
