This was my first time volunteering at a hostel and it was a great experience. The team are wonderful - Luz, Evelin, Jose Luis and the whole team were kind and welcoming. They were flexible when I couldn't arrive on time due to travel issues. The hostel is super clean and has a very friendly atmosphere - you start to feel like a family. Shifts are pretty full on so be prepared to work hard, but if that's not a problem for you I am sure you will enjoy it here. Volunteers stay in our own little out house - it can get a bit chilly, so make sure to have a jumper, but the privacy is great to have.

I had a great time in Arequipa. The schedules are very well respected, and the hosts are very helpful and collaborative. There was one exception, but it didn't affect the experience in any way. My stay at the hostel was wonderful! ☀️ The tasks are very simple (preparing breakfast, changing beds and a bit of cleaning and gardening) and the shifts are fair and flexible. I was given a warm welcome and felt very comfortable right from the start. The hostel is a social place where you'll never feel alone. The tours organised by the hostel (e.g. Colca Canyon) were also very nice! Arequipa is a great city with lots of cafés and beautiful squares. I can highly recommend this volunteering to everyone! The work at the hostel is exactly what is advertised, they are very respectful of working hours and the tasks are not heavy at all. You have plenty of time to explore the city and do tours, plus the hostel staff are very friendly.

We spent two weeks at Evelin's home performing tasks related to laundry for her hostel, cleaning common areas, and painting areas of her home... Honestly, we felt great from day one, we were very warmly welcomed and attended to.
We had a private room for ourselves with an included private bathroom that was very bright and pretty, and it also had a smart TV.
The relationship with Evelin and her daughter was very pleasant; Evelin is a very interesting and intelligent woman. We loved sharing with them.

I loved the experience at the hostel. I appreciate its staff (they are all very kind and helpful) and Evelyn for the help and for being attentive and flexible with the schedules. I felt at home. I would have liked to stay longer but I couldn't :( It was one of the best experiences I had on worldpackers. I would recommend it 100%.
