Couldn't have asked for a better first experience on a farm! :) I picked limes for the first half of my hours and pulled weeds out during the second half. Occasionally picking raspberries - depending on what's needed. Work hour timing is flexible, didn't work more than 5 hours daily, Ricardo explains and shows you step by step for every task, had my own room with plenty of space, laundry done for you, unlimited raspberries, meals provided too. 15-20 min walk from bus station, but I usually spent 10–15 euros to get an uber to go to the beach etc. There's also a bicycle. Would recommend! :)

Ricardo and his family were so welcoming and also very easy going. You would work from 9-3 and the days past quick as he would give you different tasks to do throughout the day which was great as I had very little experience. He showed me how to carry each task out and was very kind and patient with everything. He would also drop me at the beach for example after work or there was a spare bike I could use if I wanted to cycle places. This was my first experience on world packers and I'm very pleased choosing Ricardo's posting- thank you!

It was funny and I'm glad I've learnt about raspberries and limes, the tasks are very simple and Ricardo it's always available to explain you everything. I enjoyed slowing down and experiencing rural Portugal at the farm, Ricardo and Nelia are very respectful + welcoming hosts. Our work consisted of preparing new plants, some weeding + occasional picking of fruit. I enjoyed going to the beach some afternoons but was often too tired from work and read by the pool instead. There were bikes at our disposal however the bike I was told to use was not in great shape. I highly recommend taking the bus to Loule and visiting their Saturday market! The 2 farm dogs are friendly but bark promptly at 7:30am.

I had a great time at the farm! I learned how to pick, weigh and pack raspberries and blackberries and got to experience the local life. Ricardo is kind, helpful and welcoming, and Nélia is sweet, caring and her cooking is amazing:), it was so nice to get to know them, their house and their farm! I also managed to visit cities, towns and beaches around Algarve

This was my first volunteering experience abroad and second solo trip. For a first volunteer job this was a very good experience. The farm was bigger than I imagined. Tasks were easy enough and had variety so that's nice. Ricardo is kind, helpful and makes sure you understand the task. All of the family was welcoming. He is flexible with arrival and leaving dates. His mom's cooking is amazing! I learned about how farm works, about Portuguese culture and berries. Wifi doesn't work in the dorm. Bed could be comfier. Especially if someone want's to stay for a month and has back problems.

I had such a lovely experience! Ricardo and Nélia were very kind, flexible and accommodating. They made sure I had everything I needed at all times. Ricardo provided many recommendations of things to do and see in the algarve! The work was not challenging and very reasonable. It is very hot so be prepared and bring mosquito spray :) Nélia's cooking was exceptional and it will be missed! Great volunteer experience with so many beautiful beaches to explore after working and on your days off. Thank you so much Ricardo and Nélia!!

The work was not exhausting, living there was warm and welcoming! Transportation in that area is not good, but uber and bolt are cheap apps there. The only thing I found a bit uncomfortable was that the bathroom was inside the house, far from our room. I recommend this volunteering!

Ricardo and Nelia were such incredible hosts. They were very attentive the entire time so that we didn't lack anything, the working hours were fair and the work is enjoyable. The place was amazing and we enjoyed so much our free time going to so many beaches around.
