Really beautiful place with beautiful people. I would've wished for better and more fluid communication before and during the stay. This is especially important for single people travelling from far away, or those who don't speak Spanish. It is important to feel safe and to be able to count on the agreements made beforehand. I ended up cutting my stay short, and maybe I didn't have enough time to figure things out. All together it was a wonderful experience, and all the people living there are great.

I spent three weeks at the Hacienda and I had a very great time! The Hacienda is a lovely place surrounded by nature and you live among the dogs. You meet travellers from all around the world, share everything with them and make friends for life! What I enjoyed the most was the daily life as a community. But Luis isn't always there for his volunteers and because of the pre-rainy season, the work was boring and repetitive (we had big water problems and the shower didn't work). I didn't get to take care of the animals and only did maintenance of the Hacienda. It's a nice place anyway! :)

This was my first volunteering experience and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The rescue dogs were amazing, such loving animals. You will have plenty of time to explore the beautiful surroundings and touristic places. Luis is just the best host ever! He created a beautiful place for travelers and dogs. He enjoy the pizza nights, making music in the music room, watching movies together, swimming in the river, making bonfires, partying, cooking together.... A total of 20 travelers can be there at the same time , which makes it a perfect multicultural enviroment.

The days I spent in the Hacienda were very special. I met great people from different countries and I connected a lot with the lovely local people who live and work across the road, in the small shop. The dogs in the hacienda are very cute and the nature atmosphere is wonderful. I just got a bit disappointed with the internet (which is very bad) as I work remotely to my country and I need a good Wi-Fi. So I had to work at the shop across the road. Also, the water at the shower was cold, which was very hard for really cold days. With few adjustments, I think it will be an amazing place 🙂

It was my first volunteer work experience and I loved it! Luis is very friendly and made us feel at home. The hacienda is beautiful and there is always something to do. I would definitely recommend it

Hermoso lugar con gente muy acogedora. Luis es muy amable, siempre dispuesto a conversar algún cambio en fechas de estadía. La hacienda es muy bonita y los cuartos me encantaron, y el campo que lo rodea. Pasé unos lindos días de conexión con la naturaleza y haciendo nuevos amigos. Lo único complicado para mí fue cocinar a leña. Creo que es importante mencionar que hay dos tipos de voluntariado, si uno se queda menos de 4 semanas hay un pago, que es para apoyar el refugio de perros rescatados de la calle; y que el wifi es limitado pero en el pueblo se encuentra buena conexión.

La Hacienda es un lugar ideal para disfrutar de la naturaleza en un lugar bastante remoto. Las horas de trabajo son las acordadas y las habitaciones están geniales. Hemos conectado mucho con Mini, su hija Indrani, y Javier. También, los perros son muy simpáticos, acogedores y juguetones. Nos lo hemos pasado genial y espero poder volver en un futuro! Me ha encantado esta experiencia :)

Voluntariado número 4 y el mejor hasta ahora. Si lo estás pensando recomiendo apuntarse rápido para que Luis te mande toda la info. Cuando veas de qué trata realmente vas a querer apuntarte sin duda. Relajado, muy divertido y en un lugar muy especial. Perfecto si te gustan los perros!!! Gracias a Javier, Mini e Indrani por los buenos ratos ❤️

Estuve más de dos semanas en este voluntariado y pasé un tiempo maravilloso! Conocí a voluntarios de todo el mundo, con quienes compartimos grandes momentos, noches de pizza, de karaoke, de música en la hacienda... De Luis solo puedo decir que es el mejor anfitrión que podría haber encontrado! La hacienda está ubicada en un valle rodeado de una bella naturaleza que junto a todos los perros rescatados que viven con nosotros hacen de este un lugar lleno de magia.
