The staff and volunteers at this hostel were all so kind and fun to work with. Never had a bad day here. The hours are respected but you've got to be flexible on certain days, which was totally fine with me. They keep a system whereby you can openly trade shifts with other volunteers if you need a last minute change. Futhermore, the hostels are non-stop engaged in activities to meet people, socialise and just have fun which was super nice. The location is terrific and the facilities are just fine! Coming back sooner or later :)

I had such a fantastic time at Sunset the hostel! I could not recommend volunteering at this hostel more. The hostel is a beautiful environment to spend time (particularly the rooftop pool and terrace), and is located in a central and accessible area to explore Lisbon. The staff were incredibly generous and kind, fostering a welcoming and highly enjoyable environment. The tasks were straight forward and not strenuous, and I never felt like they impeded on my ability to have fun and do activities. Particular shoutout to my group of volunteers, you guys really made my Summer!! <3

My time in Lisbon was full of beautiful connections with amazing people! The hostel respected the volunteer shifts, and once you get used to them, they aren't very difficult. I've had a great time volunteering at this hostel! Everyone here is super kind and welcoming. The shifts were pretty simple and easy to do. The hostel is located in a good area, so it's super easy to explore. Margarida and all the employees make you feel right at home ❤️ I'm definitely coming backkk:)

My 4th hostel volunteering at and the best one yet! Met so many wonderful people. They had fresh facilities, good location and only 20-25 h of work. My favorite thing was the free breakfast 😍 Would definitely recommend volunteering here! (However when I got to Lisbon they switched the hostel I was supposed to stay at when I was on my way in the uber… but after a week everything was sorted out and they really did their best with schedule requests and stuff like that.)

The volunteering experience at Sunset the hostel was amazing! ! All the staff was super friendly as well as the other volunteers! The work was pretty chill and the working hours were just perfect, there was lot of time to explore Lisbon and the areas nearby! The manager, Margarida is super sweet and an amazing person! Also the housekeeping ladies were really sweet and had a lot of patient! I would recommend this experience to everyone so don't be scared to apply!!!<33

This was my first time volunteering and it was honestly the best introduction I could have asked for. The workload is light and genuinely enjoyable. While you do the standard bed-making, a lot of the role just involves socializing with the guests, so it feels much more like hanging out than actual work. The staff and other volunteers are incredibly chill and easy to talk to. A big shoutout to Margarida, who treats you more like a friend than a manager and makes the whole environment completely stress-free. The hostel itself has everything you need, and the rooftop and pool are a huge plus!

The tasks were quite basic, mainly making beds or helping at reception. I also enjoy working at the bar, so I took a few shifts there as well. It's very easy to swap shifts with other volunteers, which makes everything more flexible.
You can also join the activities organized by the hostel, which change every week, so there's always something new to experience.
The staff is incredibly kind and always ready to answer any questions or help with anything you need. I 100% recommend this experience. Lisbon and Portugal are amazing and very easy to travel around.
