The experience

Women and Youth Empowerment is our main objective but we also work around other thematic areas which are Climate Change and Sustainable Agriculture, Good Governance and Education and also Water Sanitation and Hygiene. We also mainstream issues of gender, we have established a Community resource center where communities gather and share ideas towards issues which are affecting them. We plan together activities to be done.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Activities & Shift

We plan activities together with volunteers before or after arrival. The activities are mainly based on the thematic areas we are working on. We however connect volunteers with other institutions if the volunteer has a special interest or profession. For example, when a volunteer is a doctor and interested to work at a hospital near us, we are able to arrange. If interested to teach at in schools we also arrange.

Rules

We don't have very strict rules. We however request volunteers to be able to tell us where they are going when need to visit other places while staying with us so that we advise better on how to travel and any other important information
