I arrived at the hostel Trees on September 7th and immediately felt at home. Miltos, my beloved “Grampa Miltos,” made this experience truly unforgettable. From fixing his boat and sailing to hidden beaches, to sunset dinners, dancing, laughter and wonderful people — I found exactly what I needed here. the hostel Trees gave me a place to slow down, breathe and simply enjoy life. I'll definitely be back for more adventures… and my beloved homemade pasta! ❤️ Thank you, Miltos, and thank you the hostel Trees, for a summer I'll never forget. 🍋☀️

This was my first volunteering experience and it was amazing. the hostel experience was simply unique. Miltos was a very nice and welcoming host, who managed to create the best atmosphere. I got along with everyone and got to great special and unforgettable bounds with some people. The workload was totally appropriate and manageable, I had plenty of time to visit the island which was a true gem. I hope to come back next year Thank you for the experience and those unforgettable moments Miltos

My experience at the hostel was lovely. The first few days it was a bit hard to understand the place and the tasks. I was a little stressed, which I think stressed out the host, as well. But as I understood how it all worked it got easier and easier, and I ended up living a beautiful experience. The tasks (apart from the morning shift - cleaning the toilets, tidying up, throwing out the trash) vary each day, and I always had enough time to have fun in the afternoons and evenings. I've grown fond of Miltos, who was really kind and understanding with me! I hope to be back one day :)

It was a really nice experience! Miltos hosted me very warmly and respectfuly, and was flexible about the working hours. The effort was very resenable and i had some diversity (sometimes i helped at the hostel, and sometimes did some gardening which was nice). He offered us also fun activities such as hiking to the mountain and eating homemade ice cream that he makes(: even going on his boat which was so fun. Also it was great to meet backpackers from around the world and I had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone. Thanks a lot Miltos!

I stayed 2 weeks there, the place is quite nice, small and pretty, beach was 5 min away and no tourist on the beach in August. Anout the organization it could be better for example to check in and out people would be nice to have a sheet for that and write their bed so in the morning we know which bed to clean or not. Tasks were usually making the bed, cleaning toilets and taking the rubbish out. Miltos is nice but can be moody sometime but he make really good the hostel cake and the hostel ice cream.

Andros is beautiful, locals are so kind, and the hostel is a unique gem. Work wasn't always easy, especially since it was my first ever experience as a volunteer. I stayed there for 3 weeks during peak season, so that might be why. I also think that I might have stressed the Host out at times, but as the days passed, communication got better. Just beware that if you go there around august, you might have to sleep outside. Nevertheless, I'd do it all over again. It's an experience that made grow a lot, and I met so many amazing people from all over the world. Till next time! 🍋🌊🥰

I've been at LT on August, the house of Miltos was full. We've been two volunteers. LTis 5 minutes far from the town's beach, there Is a seaview and in a few minutes you can reach the centre of Mbatsi, the most turistic town of the Island on the summer. Miltos is a good and welcoming man, with his particular behaviour, but with the right comunication any agreement Is possible. Personal tip: talk about your free days at the beginning, i didn't get one but I had enough free time. You could sleep outside, litterally everywhere in the highest season, important to know before going. Enjoy 🥰

Miltos was a good host, he is a man with lots of good stories and we had many good discussions, the work load was fair some days would be very work intensive i.e gardening, weeding but he would follow those days with relaxing work schedules. Miltos and I were able to work through any issues we had and constructively work through them together for a resolution. We had some hiccups and disagreements but we were able to discuss it like men after cooling off and get through them together. I enjoyed my time at the hostel which is his home and look forward to coming back.
