I could not be more grateful for the time I got to spend at T.House Farm with Will and Lana. I had an incredible experience, and loved getting to learn so much about farming and sustainability. They really take the time to get to know their workers and connect with them, providing tools for success in work projects and in getting to travel and go on adventures. Will and Lana were incredibly generous in the way they spent their time with their workers and invited them to go on trips around the island with them. I'm so grateful to have had them as my first WorldPackers Hosts!

It seems like we might have just missed the deadline to write a review for Abby. I'll see if WP will allow us to write one.

Abby is an amazing person, she's determined, observant, hard working, details oriented, has strong work ethics, ready to learn, appreciative, and fearless when it is time for adventures! Abby helped us with tons of weed wrecking, weeding, gardening, planting, harvesting, building soil, and everyday cleaning. Abby will succeed in whatever she puts her mind to, and be forewarned, she will beat you in card games!

Come back and visit us anytime!

Will and Lana are great people who I immediately kicked it off with, willing to take us out a time or two a week to local hotspots and play games with at the farm. The farm itself is absolutely gorgeous though very off-grid.
The work is largely manual labor with little direction which brings me to my only criticism that they'll point you in a direction but then decide the way you did it wasn't as they pictured - if both sides maintain communication this is easily countered.
I had a phenomenal time living and learning farm life while there and highly recommend it if it interests you!

Will and Lana are very generous people, but many issues arose as they struggled to communicate and listen to each other and volunteers opinions, constantly putting volunteers in the middle of personal issues. I have heard so many good things about this place from other volunteers but for me it just was not the case. I sadly ended my stay earlier then expected due to a mix of chicken mites infesting clothes, tents, and even the house, the sever amount of drama, lack of boundaries and respect. The one positive I did have about this place was the flexibility of hours to go travel.

We are sorry to hear that Courtney stay didn't meet her expectation. We really appreciate what she had done for us in the short time that she stayed. The mites issue stemmed from a long stretch of rainy days in which the chickens did not have enough dry space to dust themselves and kept the mites off. The issue has since been remediated with treatment and we built new dust box for them. We are sorry that Courtney felt unheard, we have taken in many of Courtney's suggestions and advices, and considered many others. We hope that Courtney next travel will meet her expectation.

This is the perfect homestead experience, if you’re looking for pleasant, fun, rich experience this is a great choice. Feeding chickens, building, working with plants etc. are some of the main jobs and there’s plenty of time to enjoy the island too. They are fairly early on in terms of their permaculture/community goals so if you’re looking for a well established farm this is not the place(yet). Will and Lana were incredible hosts, no complaints here.. great cooking, tropical fruit, beach trips etc. Worst part of the whole trip was a few fire ant bites so that’s saying something.
