One of the best volutariates I have done in terms of keeping to schedule and facilities. The hostel is very cute and the best thing is that the location is great. The work is not heavy and it gets done in less time than requested. Alexandro very friendly and always willing to help. Super recommend this experience

Tasks are easy, usually I finished early so I got a lot of free time. Only one day off (you don't choose it) so I could not visit much outside of Seville. No free-drinks, no social events were made during my stay and I didn't learn much. The hostel is in an old building and they have problems with insects (cockroaches) so for me personally it was very uncomfortable. I also slept with guests in a room with no windows at all. Antonio and Julia (from the reception) got nothing to do with my experience, they were very lovely people, but unfortunately the experience did not meet my expectations.

My time in the hostel was good. The staff was nice and careful. But the trade between work and free time would be better, Seville is not a big town so in some days it's done and would be great at least 2 days free per week to explore the other towns around. The work was as promissed and it's easy to do.

None of the advertised benefits on the profile were true except laundry and dinner. There were no free parties, drinks, dance classes, events etc as mentioned on the profile. There is no bartending position (only cleaning, preparing breakfast, reception). We worked more than agreed since we bought groceries and cooked for the hostel. I found it hard to communicate with the staff since most of them don't speak English. I was treated rudely by some of them. I had to leave earlier (family emergency) and they refused to give me my deposit of 50€ back. They blocked my number without responding.

My first volunteering experience was very rewarding for me, better than I expected in terms of schedules and tasks. The night shift is ideal if you want to combine volunteering with in-person classes or activities, since you have mornings and afternoons free. There are several days off and that is appreciated. The unbeatable location connects you with the whole city quickly on foot and by public transport; no doubt one of the best experiences of my life. I made friends with locals and it was easy to get around the neighborhoods of this beautiful city. Seville will always be in my memory ❤️

My stay at the Rio hostel pleased me a lot because it is perfectly located in the city and I had every day to myself, as the work consists only of night shifts and it wasn't too much. For me, who doesn't speak fluent Spanish, it was also an opportunity to improve the language through different conversations, although at times it also made communication more difficult (but that's more my fault and most of the team also speaks English.) The only thing that was a bit unfortunate was that in one week I was the only volunteer, but I nevertheless enjoyed the time.

My experience at the hostel was lovely, I met wonderful volunteers, I also shared experiences with more travelers, the work seemed fine, it's at night so you have the whole day to know the city, Seville is beautiful. The location of the hostel is super central, so it's very easy to move around and find everything, in my two days off I took advantage to travel through the south of Spain 🫶 The hostel facilities are cozy, there is an area to work and a terrace with very good views. Julia is very understanding, I had to leave early and she understood perfectly! I recommend it 👍
