I had an amazing experience in the farm, the place and surrounding areas are beautiful and full of surprises, be prepared to encounter mountains, beach, rivers, fruit trees and much more! Iris is an excellent host, she is social, kind, joyful and attentive of your needs. Also, through her I knew some of the local culture and way of life in Calabria. The work was simple, diverse and well explained. The working time and free days were always respected. The place for the volunteers is comfortable and has all you need. My time volunteering with Iris at the farm in Isca was truly transformative. The 7 AM to 12 PM hours were ideal for making the most of the cooler hours of the day. Iris is an exceptional and thoughtful host. Iris is extremely reliable and responsive, and went above and beyond to make me feel at home and allow me to experience the local culture. I made new friends and always felt included. The accommodation is rustic and immersed in nature, but there are nets on the windows to prevent mosquitos. The work was varied and fun, and I already miss it so much.

Staying at Isca in the river house was one of the best choices I could have made. It definitely isn't for everyone, you have no electricity unless you go uphill, so no fridge and no light, but it builds up so much character and experience to live that way, connected with nature and by the river. It really was amazing, getting to meet locals and Iris' friends, they're the sweetest people, just like her. She's honestly a great person and host: so kind, unique and talented, one of those people you never forget. Finally, the work was physical and demanding, but friends and breaks made it easier :)

Amazing experience in Italy! The place is perfect if you want to disconnect and live a simple, rural lifestyle close to nature. The work was very simple, mainly harvesting olives and doing a bit of painting and you cook for yourself, which adds to the experience.
Iris is an incredible host, always kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and meaningful stay.

This was my very first Worldpackers experience and I could not recommend it more! “Shifts” are from 8am to 1pm with a break. You have to cook for yourself and buy groceries which taught me how to cook better so no complaining. There are a couple guest houses she has for Worldpackers to stay in. The village is beautiful but a far far walk from shops and food. Iris was an AMAZING host. She took me into town when available. I enjoyed the work in nature and especially enjoyed how Iris and her family interact. Such an amazing experience I will forever remember. If you're contemplating going, GO.

So glad to come back again! This time was just as lovely as last time. The house was magical, the people sweet. Many wholesome memories, many shared laughs. I really loved every task given either if it was with chickens or paint brushes, was always interesting and a learning experience ♥️

I had the absolute best experience at Isca with Iris! This was my first worldpackers experience and I didn't really know what to expect but the 3 weeks I spent here completely exceeded expectations in every way. Iris is so amazing and caring, the work was varied and fulfilling - especially out in the orchards, and the place itself is sooo beautiful. August was a great month to be there with so many local festivities going on and this meant I was able to connect with locals and learn a lot about the culture and language, which was a huge bonus. Truly such a phenomenal experience!!
