The Experience

Starting July we start harvesting for our 3 farmers' markets that last until Oct. Our helping hands start around 10am and farm until around 2 or 3 pm Mon - Fri with the weekends off to explore the area. We have a farmers market on wed and two on sat in Anchorage. We can also use a helping hand in the kitchen. We have family-style meals for dinner and a lo of our guests enjoy cooking or learning to cook up new meals. all meals are provided.

I absolutely loved my time at the farm. It was such a dream to live in Alaska. It was my first time working at a farm and it was amazing. I can also recommend the farm if you're looking for a place that feels like home with good food, kind ppl and fun activities. I went on so many hikes and saw so many beautiful places. Thank you so much for the experience Vern:)

This was by far the best experience I've ever had in my life. It was my first time volunteering and I couldn't have chosen a better place! Vern and Randy are wonderful people, they are incredible caring and attentive to all the volunteers, and the food they prepare is fantastic. I stayed for 1 month and 1 week and felt at home from the very first days. I wish I could have stayed longer. I'm already missing all the amazing people I met during my stay. Thank you, Vern and Randy, for everything you did for me. I can never put into words how grateful I am to have met you.I hope to come back soon!

I immediately felt so welcomed and was so comfortable throughout my entire stay. Randy and Vern are amazing hosts and I 100% recommend this experience. There are lots of opportunities for hikes and the homemade meals are amazing. Also, the views everywhere are stunning!! This experience far exceeded my expectations and I already knew it was going to be amazing. This place along with the amazing people that I met will always hold a special place in my heart!! 🫶🫶
