I loved my time in Santander. Adonai is so friendly and super welcoming and makes you feel at home upon arrival. The tasks were also very easy and consisted of basic housekeeping and reception work. Adonai was very accommodating and let me work some in the morning and some at night as I preferred. Communicating work times was a bit off but personally I was not affected by this and it could easily be fixed on my end as well by communicating better the day before. This was my first time in a hostel ever and my first solo adventure and I highly recommend the hostel to volunteer at!!!

This was my first experience as a volunteer and I think it was a great way to start, the place is really chill and I felt welcomed. Adonai is really kind and always here to help and make you feel at home, I really appreciate it ! Also the tasks are very easy so that's good for a first experience. Even tho there wasn't much people since I came during the low season, I learned how to live with people and enjoyed my time there :)

Adonai was an amazing supervisor!! He went above and beyond to care for the volunteers, explain duties with patience and to socialise with us to make us feel welcomed. The hostel, as a whole, was a little bit run down and not always the cleanest place to live. Some of the clientele were also sketchy and there were a couple of moments where I did not feel particularly safe there. However, as said before, Adonai was an excellent team leader and I do not have a bad word to say about him! Valentin, on the other hand, was not a particularly involved owner. Made lots of friends, overall great time!

For the most part I enjoyed my stay in the hostel. Adonai, who helps train you is really open and funny and makes you feel welcomed. Santander is an amazing city with beautiful beaches and nature! The work is easy and only takes 4 hours a day. The morning shift from 8-12 is spent cleaning and doing check outs, while the evening shift from 5-9pm focuses on the check-ins. If you want to practice your Spanish this is an excellent opportunity! The place could definitely improve on cleanliness and have better communication in terms of what's expected. I think 4 weeks was the perfect time to stay.

I really enjoyed my experience at the hostel! The shifts were easy and it was so much fun meeting people from all over the world. The online system with reservations/charges was confusing at times but other than that the instructions were clear. I hope to be back soon!

This was my first volunteering experience, and it was a pleasant one. The work is chill and flexible, you have plenty of free time to enjoy Santander. I also had the chance to meet a lot of international travelers. The host is a nice person, however he isn't really around and doesn't seem to care much about volunteers being confortable. Adonai is very kind and helpful, even if I would have liked him to explain more tasks to me. Sometimes it was a bit too much not having my own space and having to share room with guests, but overall, it was a nice and memorable experience <3

The experience in the hostel is definitely recommendable. I stayed here for one month and had a great time. Santander is beautiful and there are variety of things you can do. The Hostel has a perfect location right in the center and at the ocean. One challenge is that you sleep in the 9-bedroom. So you need to be fine with sharing your space with volunteer and guests. The work is super manageable and you work hours are respectful. You have a great deal of autonomy in the planing which is pretty flexible depending on your coworkers. The host isn't really around but super nice and helpful

I loved Santander. The hosts were great, but the shifts were a bit much. But I still enjoyed the time I spent there.

It was fantastic work at the hostel! Lovely people (other volunteers, Gise y Cami, and the travelers) and most important thing was that Gemma was very kind and very disponible for everything. I really recommend this hostel for people who want to visit nord Spain and know Spanish culture ;)
