I had an amazing experience at the hostel! Wendy was incredibly helpful and flexible with the schedule, as well as patient with my spanish. The cleaning work is straight-forward and you have plenty of time to get everything done. I was the only girl with 5 male volunteers, but Wendy made sure I knew beforehand and was comfortable, which I thought was very considerate. Truly a special experience and I'm leaving with great new friends! Gracias por todo Wendy y Belen <3

I worked for the cleaning and the work hours are really good, the staff is very flexible in case you need specific days off and this really help to enjoy the city and explore BA. I only think the tasks could be more explained at first, bc I struggled a bit trying to understand the hostel's cleaning dynamic during the first and a half week.

Hi Raquel! You're right, the training could have been better but it was the first time we required volunteers for morning cleaning and we tried to do our best! Anyway, we really appreciate your goodwill and your effort. We're glad you were able to enjoy the city. Good luck in whatever you undertake! Best regards!

The experience in the hostel was very interesting. The night shift was not as difficult as I was expecting. The receptionist has to do the check in and check out, get the payments of the reservations, and keep the hostel areas clean. The whole staff was very welcoming and kind, they've helped with whatever I needed from questions about reception work to lending me a bag to put my groceries in. I've worked for two days a week so there was plenty of free time to explore the city, besides the location is really good both to get to know places like on foot and to get the subway.

The hostel is a great opportunity to meet other travelers and explore Buenos Aires! I do recommend having a solid grasp on Spanish to get the most of the experience, as many of the volunteers and staff don't speak English. That sometimes presented challenges, but it's my fault for not knowing more Spanish before going to Argentina 😄and hey, overcoming those situations is half the fun sometimes!

I had a great experience volunteering at Hoste the hostel as a night receptionist. The hostel is in a super central and quiet area of Buenos Aires. The work matches the description: 2–3 night shifts of 8 hours, usually calm since few guests check in late. This gives you lots of free time during the day. The staff is friendly and welcoming — especially Leandro, Belén, and Wendy. I also got along really well with the other volunteers. Highly recommended!

This is probably the quietest place I've been, which is great for those who want to enjoy the city and rest in a comfy bed after a fun night or a long day walking. The location is great. The shifts are also really flexible so you'll have A LOT of time to visit Buenos Aires. Right now the owners are putting a lot of effort into bringing this place back up to its glorious days, so, it needs a lot of love and positive energy. If you're thinking about volunteering here, remember to always bring your best attitude and help as much as you can. Life will always reward you!
