I had the best experience at Chenrezig! The people are what really made my experience! The other volunteers that I was lucky enough to be there at the same time with, the coordinators, etc.
This is a great place for learning; about Tibetan Buddhism (which is available to learn and immerse yourself in if you want but also not mandatory or forced on you in any way) or new skills through the many different shifts you can get/request -- I gained experience in a cafe as someone whose never worked as a barista.
This is a great experience if you approach the experience with *respect* and openness.

Our time at the Center has been a truly unique and meaningful experience. We originally planned to stay for three weeks, but extended our stay to almost three months! We love the peace and quiet, the variety of tasks from barista work to housekeeping and gardening, and the freedom to choose what we enjoy. People come from all over the world, creating a beautiful international community. We're very grateful for this enriching experience and would absolutely recommend volunteering here!

Volunteering at Chenrezig is a great experience to live in community, learn new skills, and offer special skills for the institute. I really enjoyed being around other travelers and helping in the kitchen and working the barista shift. The work is really manageable and you have lots of free time after your shift to be in nature, or join the meditations. Thank you for a great time!!

Had a great time at the Center. Lots of volunteers to connect with, good vibes, easygoing atmosphere. Be warned: time loses its meaning here. Its quite an isolated retreat, the world becomes quite small. But at least it'll be cozy, warm and full of lovely people!

Coming back to the Center two years after my first stay was one of the most special parts of my journey in Australia. Returning only confirmed what I already knew: it's impossible to spend time here without learning, growing, and being positively impacted. It was also wonderful to see how much the Center has grown, with more volunteers, activities, and opportunities to connect. This is one of those places you never truly leave. The Center was an incredibly special experience for me. I learned and grew so much, mentally, physically and spiritually. It is all thanks to the Sangha and the volunteers that give this place the most beautiful energy. The chef's here are so good, the food is healing on multiple levels. Even the work was therapeutic and gratifying especially when it became an integrated part of my daily practice. I am forever grateful to the Center and all of the people I connected with in my time here.
