I was given a very warm welcome by the team. Since it was summer, there were two volunteers, and things were generally quite quiet except during Obon. The meals were delicious, and I'm really going to miss them! It's also possible to hike up Mount Annupuri, which is right next to the guesthouse, and there are several onsen in the area that are easy to access.

I consider myself lucky bc work wasn't too busy during my stay. The tasks were diverse — from helping with a birthday party, deep cleaning, to labeling indoor greens ..basically whatever come up At the same time, I was really happy to share both work and daily life with Gurung, Niru, and Ram. They are all kind and friendly, and keen to share things I didn't know about Japan and life here. And their Japanese–Nepalese food was amazing! Couldn't ask for more🙏 It was a pity that I couldn't stay longer to see the veggies growing in Ram's garden🪴 Thank you Masa San and the hotel!❣️

I had a great experience at the hotel. My working hours and day off were respected. I was able to ski a lot, as well as try onsen and connect with other travelers. I did tasks like cleaning, organizing, helping in the kitchen, and babysitting. I recommend this volunteer experience!

I had a great time at the hotel. I arrived for the end of the winter season and really loved the proximity to the ski lift. The work and expectations for volunteers was reasonable with lots of time to ski. A shared ski pass was provided for the local resort which was a nice surprise. The team was great to work with. Especially Gurung san and Ram san, who made sure we felt at home and were well fed. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to ski a lot in Niseko. It might be a bit isolated if you don't plan to ski, however there is a shared car you can use to drive into town or onsens.

I originally planned to stay for just one month, but I quickly fell in love with the place and the people and decided to stay for three months. From the beginning, I felt truly welcomed and treated like part of the family, which made my experience very special. The work environment was supportive and positive, with comfortable hours and excellent conditions. The location was also incredible only a two-minute walk from the ski resort. Communication was always open, kind, and clear. I'm very grateful for my time there and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to others.

I had a lovely time there although I will say it is more lonely during the off season - and I definitely recommend an IDP. The job is fun though and since there weren't too many guests you can do some odd jobs too. However the working hours were a little inconvenient (9-12 and 3-5 every day that wasn't a break). Made it a little hard to go places on normal days. The food was fantastic though and I overall loved my time there!

I want to sincerely recommend you for housekeeping and childcare work. You were extremely organized, capable, and reliable, and your cleaning was always thorough and well done. I could count on you to manage tasks independently and keep everything running smoothly. You were easy-going, professional, and a pleasure to work with. With the children, you were kind, patient, and attentive, creating a safe and positive environment. Your strong work ethic and calm attitude made a real difference in our

The stay itself, the work and Ram san and Gurung san are incredible. The work is not hard and never goes overtime, you get your own room and 3 meals per day, even when you don't work. That being said, be aware that there is really not a lot to do around the hotel except hiking, you can't really practice Japanese, the communication with the host is non-existent and this review is only valid for the off-season from May to November. YMMV. Thank you again for your kindness and hospitality, Ram san and Gurung san, it was a pleasure to meet you and I will come back to see you again.
