I loved my time at the hostel, it really felt like a home away from home! The vibe of the hostel is really chill, the tasks are straightforward (cleaning, check-ins) and I had a lot of free time to explore beautiful Agaete and its surroundings. It's a lovely little town with some great hikes and beaches nearby, and away from the busier touristy areas. It's a great place to go if you want to do some yoga, meet some cool people, reconnect with nature and relax - definitely not a party destination🙏 I already miss it all and can't wait to go back. I had an amazing experience at the hostel! Anna was an amazing host! The job is very easy and manageable, I got to spend every day doing yoga, at the beach, doing hikes, cooking and hanging out with guests! Felt like paradise! I really enjoyed my time at Casa Calma. I felt comfortable right from the beginning. With the other two volunteers I shared a small room, but actually we almost just slept in there and most of the time stayed outside at the rooftop, which is perfect for chilling. I also really liked the opportunity to do Yoga, either when there was a class or just on my own. The work was just as agreed. Sometimes there's quite a lot to do, when there are many people leaving, but within the four free days there's enough time to recover and also explore the beautiful nature in and around Agaete.

My experience at Casa Calma was really nice. The house itself has a calm and inviting energy and people are so warm and friendly. The work was exactly as agreed upon and the volunteer room was cozy. I would recommend making sure that you are comfortable speaking Spanish so that you can engage with the people, the volunteers and the community more. It can feel isolating if you cant communicate. There were a lot of opportunities to travel around the island, however the bus system can be unreliable sometimes so I would recommend renting a car if you have the means and a license to do so.

Thank you for the moments shared! At the hostel I spent the Christmas period surrounded by strangers who have become family. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach yoga every morning and to experience the true hostel that Agaete offers to all who visit it. I am sure I will be back ☺️

Agaete, un pueblo hermoso, tranquilo y lleno de encanto. El entorno es ideal naturaleza, playa y un ritmo más pausado. Pacté trabajar 15 horas semanales, pero terminé trabajando al menos 21 horas solo durante un fin de semana. Las tareas eran excesivas para hacer una sola persona, la dueña en Barcelona. Decidí finalizar mi voluntariado antes de tiempo porque no se respetaron los acuerdos iniciales. Aprecio la oportunidad y creo que es importante que futuro voluntarios sepan a qué se pueden enfrentar, especialmente en épocas de alta demanda, mejor organización y respeto x los límites volunta.

Casa Calma es un lugar muy acogedor y tranquilo, hecho con mucho amor. Agaete un pueblito super especial, donde si buscas conectar profundamente con la naturaleza, es el lugar ideal. Las tareas en Casa Calma son sencillas, y la comunicación con el equipo fluye muy bien, por lo que es muy fácil que todo vaya según lo planeado. Los huéspedes que se alojan allí en su mayoría son muy tranquilos y agradables, por lo que podrías conectar con viajeros de muchos sitios, lo cual desde mi punto de vista es muy enriquecedor. Mi tiempo en Casa Calma no pudo haber sido mejor, el literal hoy por hoy es mi casa lejos de casa. Ana es una lindísima persona y Felipe ya es mi familia. Las tareas son sencillas y muy gratificantes, los huéspedes que llegan a este sitio atraídos por la vibra del lugar son todas personas muy agradables de las que me llevo varias amistades de distintos paises. Agaete es un bello pueblo cerca del mar y cerca de la ciudad, el balance es perfecto . No cambiaría nada. Me voy sumamente agradecida por la oportunidad de vivir aquí dos meses.

Fue mi primera experiencia con worldpackers y fue genial. Casa Calma es un lugar de paz, cuidado y belleza donde todo es refinado manteniendo la sencillez. Anna, la propietaria, es organizada y profesional, humanamente sensible y dispuesta a escuchar. Te hará sentir como en casa. El trabajo es limpiar los baños y la cocina y ordenar las habitaciones con cambio de sábanas. En junio, temporada baja, hay pocos invitados, por lo que el trabajo está bien repartido. En su tiempo libre, la playa y los restaurantes son accesibles a pie. Bien comunicado con Las Palmas. Experiencia esplendida .
