This was my first volunteering experience ever and it definitely set the bar very high. I spent 3 amazing weeks at a beautiful house full of history. The tortas taste amazing, I had at least 2 every day. I also loved the cats! The location is great, right in the center, it's really easy to move around by foot. The work in the kitchen was fun and I learnt a lot about Puebla's culture and cuisine, also thanks to Guile and Geo, which spent time with me, inviting me to drinks, events and food spots. They and the rest of the young team really made me feel at home, we made some great memories :)

Guile & Georgina are the absolute best hosts one could ask for. My experience here was super productive — cooking every day, learning a lot about Poblano culture and doing endless things here and around the city. Guile & his family were kind enough to take me out to numerous places, bars, restaurants, workshops etc. Always super accommodating, checking if everything is okay & if I needed anything extra. My hours were respected & Guile was always quick to respond to any queries. Couldn't have spent my time in a better way and with better company here in Puebla. Lots of love you guys <3

Guile was truly a helpful and kind host who also communicates very well i was taught how to prepare tortas and other dishes on the menu by the young team and also got to deliver some orders and walk around puebla sometimes after work guile and geo invited me to hang out with them and their friends which I really appreciated I also had a blast with the rest of the team because they were very funny, kind and energetic even though it was sometimes hard to follow their conversations because I didn't speak spanish that well they included me wherever possible

We volunteered as a couple for 2.5 weeks, which included special events due to the restaurants 5 year anniversary. The accomodation was comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming - they showed us good local restaurants and were keen to for us to learn about Poblano food and culture.
We volunteers in the kitchen and front of house, areas where we have experience. The restaurant is pretty quiet so there is not always much work to do, but the staff are all great and we were able to spend time chatting and practing our Spanish. Would definitely recommend volunteering here.

I had a great time in Puebla with everyone at Cosme tortas. Guile and Geo were very friendly and welcoming. They invited us out for food/drinks as a group of volunteers and sometimes with their friends. They gave us recommendations of things to do and try. They were also very helpful when I needed medical help. The work in the kitchen was fun and easy. All the staff were great and helped with my poor Spanish. I've learnt a lot and met some lovely people.

I had an amazing experience at the home! Both Georgina and Guilebaldo were very welcoming and were great hosts in the city of Puebla. The work was simple and always communicated clearly, and the working hours were respected. Several times, the volunteers and hosts went out for dinner to try local food, or we stayed in and had game nights together. It was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to visiting them again the next time I'm in Puebla.

Originally I was going to stay a month but unfortunately I got ill pretty much the second I got to Mexico. I did one day work which was easy and enjoyable, the staff working there are nice. The host Guilebaldo was very understanding and sympathetic, and I didn't feel awful leaving to try and recover in a hostel. The house is beautiful and the city is a whirlwind of culture, food, music and life. I'd have loved to stay longer.

I spent two weeks volunteering at the beautiful the home. Geo and Guile were great hosts, welcoming and friendly. They invited me along to social events with them and their friends which was really kind of them and I had so much fun. I worked mainly looking after the many many plants and outdoor areas in their home. The work was physical but not overly strenuous and it was so good to be working with my hands outside in the sunshine. Oh, and their cats are very cute and their tortas are absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend volunteering here, thanks again G&G!
