Bamboo was my first time volunteering and I couldn't have chosen a better place, it was like being on vacation at your aunt's house with all your cousins, the culture that Bruna and Diogo have created is unparalleled the good vibes you feel, Thay ❤️, Frankie the most special kitten, and the volunteers my brothers how much I miss them Dani, Eliel, Paulo and my Joha, I learned so much about so many things thank you Bamboo for changing the way I see life, for such incredible moments and so much love, I know we will meet again

The Worldpackers description is outdated. This is a very popular hostel, so the work is demanding. You work 8 hours a day, either as a Receptionist, Cleaner or Bartender. Some shifts, all three. For 2.5 weeks of my month-long stay, there was 0 food provided. I was never given any formal training. When working the bar, if stock is missing at the end of your shift, you get charged. I'm grateful for the people I met (Vania, Thayane, Luciano, Neli), and us volunteers had some great times together. But I can't endorse this hostel, because hostels should not be 90% volunteer-ran.

My time in the hostel passed so fast, that I wished I could have stayed longer. Having Luciano and Bruna as hosts was really nice because they were welcoming and caring (still when I was sick). The hostel offers the best conditions to see the waterfalls, get to know locals and learn (for me the first time) about the tasks in a hostel. I really liked the interaction with the guests and enjoyed being trusted to do this work. Negative: the volunteers room is really humid and even though the cat Franky is sweet he leaves some smells. All in all I learned a lot about myself and met many inspiring

I honestly have to say that this is one of the best places to go volunteer here in Brazil! Highlights: -The room for volunteers has air conditioning. Hard to find in Brazil. -The place has a pool, perfect for sunny days and also provides the opportunity to go join the tours when available. -The hosts! Since this is a place for tourists to chill/have fun, be ready to come with all your good vibes to keep this place running and make it special for you, the tourists and the staff!

Bruna and Diego are awesome hosts ☀️From my side, it was the first time that the host was really interested in volunteers. They shared their food, experience and a pleasant atmosphere with us. You can feel at home here. In Foz I enjoyed the bike rides, which were always available to me for free and thanks to them I also went to the waterfalls by bike with a guide, which was a great experience and I learned more about the nature around. Muito obrigada por tudo 🩵

It was my first Worldpackers experience, so I can't compare. All in all it was a good experience. The workload matched the stated amount on Worldpackers. I enjoyed that the hostel is offering a lot of trips which you can join for free.

Volunteering at the hostel was sensational. The whole team is super friendly and supportive, and provides sensational day-to-day support, making you feel at home from the very first moment. 4A1 The environment is very welcoming, with an incredible cultural exchange with people from all over the world and an excellent infrastructure in downtown Foz. I highly recommend it to any volunteer!

Had an incredible time here! I volunteered at the bar, it was my first experience at Worldpackers and I will treasure it. The team is super nice, the vibe is light and welcoming, and there is always someone willing to chat or help. The hostel has a great vibe, the bar is a great place to meet people from all over the world and make new friends. I felt at home from the first day. If you are looking for a place with good energy, amazing people and many stories to live, you can come without fear. I would definitely come back! ❤️
