The experience

We are a couple living in a renovated country house in the lake district, close to Milan Malpensa airport. We have a 7000sqm garden and 5 dogs. The kind of help required is mainly keeping the garden tidy, so picking up leaves, pruning bushes or cutting the grass, depending on the season. What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.


Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner Spanish

Between 18 and 60 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Normally we ask 4-5 hours a day, but we ask for flexibility too, meaning that some tasks need to be finished within the day, so we expect the volunteer to go on if needed, getting an extra day off.


Activities & Shift

Picking up leaves, moving firewood, cutting the grass, feed the dogs, cleaning lawns, planting or sowing new plants.


Rules

Respect for the property and the host. Volunteers are welcome to come with us for daily trips and visiting friends. They are also free to explore the area on their own, but we are not a hotel, so some rules will be explained clearly on the site
