The experience

We are a small non profit organization in Dar es salaam, Tanzania which support an early childhood education for the less advantaged children in the suburb of Mbagala, Dar es salaam. We are running a small day care center that training children from the age of 1 up to 6 to be able to join a public school at age of 7.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Teaching Languages: Teach a language to guests or local communities.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner Portuguese

Between 18 and 80 years old

Accepts solo applications and also couples and pairs

Program Details

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to spend sometimes with us at our day care Center in Dar es salaam, the core duty is to provide general help at the school, help to reorganise classroom, renovate and decorating and supporting local teachers.

Activities & Shift

Our day care center opens from Monday- Friday 08:00 am - 04 :30 pm. We ask volunteers to spend atleast 4-5 hours a day at the school.

We are kindly ask volunteers to dress appropriately around kids and be nice to everyone.
