It was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have chosen a better place to start. The workload is fair and the tasks are well-defined, leaving enough free time. Jennifer and all the staff members are super welcoming and helpful. The hostel is spacious, and I especially loved the terrace—it was the ideal spot to chat and hang out. Faro isn't a very big town, but it's the perfect starting point for exploring the Algarve or relaxing on one of its beaches. I truly loved staying here, thank you the hostel fam :)

I can't recommend the hostel enough! As my first experience volunteering in a hostel, It couldn't have been more ideal. Jennifer and the team became family, helping me feel a part of Faro. The hostel is situated in a characterful old building, but the facilities are modern and well looked after. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore Faro and the wider Algarve. I was able to use my days off to travel all over Portugal. The work is varied and helped me learn a variety of skills I previously didn't have. I wouldn't hesitate to return in the future!

I had an amazing experience at the hostel!! Very friendly people, i have spent time with so friendly other volunteers, the local staff members and Jennifer know the region very good which is very useful to spend some good time around. The volunteers work 25 hours a week with at least 2 days off, this is perfect to spend time on activities or leaving in another city for a few days. Many thanks to Jennifer and all the staff members for receiving me! Had a wonderful time 🫶

I had the best time at the hostel. Everyone (staff and other volunteers) was sooo friendly, you really become a family and the amount of work was fair. The owner Jennifer was extremely nice, caring and very flexible with the schedule when my friend visited. There's a beach nearby, nice staff room, very clean and social hostel. It was a great feeling to work there, talk to guests, explore the area and there are nice places to visit at the Algarve, beaches and small towns. 10/10 stay, I really fell in love with portugal, would recommend this volunteering project to everyone. I had the best time ever at the hostel!! Jennifer is such a good and well coordinated host and all the other volunteers and staff members made this a truly special experience. They were all very nice and made The work is easy and chill and you're left with enough time to see Faro and the surrounding towns during the day and night! I can inly recommend it!

My experience at the hostel was one of my favourite volunteering experiences for sure! The work is clear and you get the schedule in advance. If you're looking for a social place with great vibes I'd definitely recommend it. Faro is a small city that allows you to relax but at the same time you always find something to do or travel to other places in Portugal. What truly made this experience incredible were the other volunteers as well as the permanent staff who became family. Jennifer is a great host and I would come back anytime!

I spent 4 weeks at the hostel, and it was an amazing experience. The hostel itself is incredible, clean, and welcoming, but what made it truly special was the group of people I met—my lovely the hostel family. Jennifer and all the permanent staff are wonderful, doing everything to ensure volunteers have the best possible stay. The work, mostly night shifts for me, is exactly as described and manageable, leaving plenty of free time to travel around Portugal and enjoy Faro's great atmosphere. I'm so glad that I chose this as my first volunteering trip, would love to come back someday!

I had a great 6 weeks at the hostel, the experience was exactly what I hoped for and I am very sad to be leaving my wee travel family. The tasks were as described and we had schedules well in advance to be able to plan trips and enjoy our time around Portugal. The full time staff are awesome, and contribute a lot to the experience being so memorable. Faro is a small place, not ALOT going on, but it made immersing myself into the place that much easier. I would come back in a heartbeat <3

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I loved it at the hostel. The team is the best and Jennifer the host is really nice. Also the whole hostel is really clean and very nice to stay. The work was not hard at all. Staff will show you everything and especially bar shifts are fun. I would definitely recommend this hostel to everybody.

My stay at the hostel exceeded my expectations! It was like one big family and I'm so grateful to have called the hostel home for the time I was there- Jennifer is really kind and a lovely host - nightshifts can be a little hard but are doable - All the staff and volunteers are the most welcoming and supportive people. Faro is easy for day trips around the Algarve and seeing beautiful beaches. I'll 100% come back to Faro ❤️
