Program Details

We are Pepe.

In 2017 we opened Casa Pepe in Mexico City, the country's first five-star boutique hostel. Today we operate accommodations in CDMX and Puebla, the Ateneo de Virreyes —a historic building in the heart of the Centro that we are turning into a hotel, cafe, micro-theater and cultural space— and Sincrético, our tours brand with original scripts about the city.

We are not a chain. We are a project with an opinion: hospitality that works with artists and artisans and indigenous communities, that programs theater and that tells the city as it is. There is history on every corner of our spaces and very few people telling it well. That’s where you come in.

You will be the eyes of the group: you go out, capture and publish. You don’t start from scratch: we have a content calendar, visual identity and clear objectives. We review your work every week, give you feedback and teach you to read the metrics.

Activities & Shift

We work with a weekly plan, not improvising:

Half a day — Planning: review of the week’s trends, script and shot list.
3 days — On-site shooting: the hotel, the Ateneo, the cafe, Sincrético tours, events and the neighborhood.
One and a half days — Editing, posting and responding to comments.

What you’ll do specifically:
- Identify each week which audio clips, formats and narratives are working on Instagram and TikTok, and propose how to adapt them to our brands.
- Record and edit reels and stories following the content plan.
- Live coverage: tours, theater performances, events, cooking, the neighborhood’s characters.
- Leave an organized, tagged material bank for the team to keep using after you leave.
- Review each week what worked and what didn’t, and adjust.

Variable schedule: sometimes it’s a tour at 9 am, sometimes a show at 8 pm. Always scheduled in advance.

Rules

5 hours a day, 5 days a week, with 2 days off. Schedules are agreed in advance and respected.
- The material you produce is from Casa Pepe and you can freely use it in your portfolio.
- You publish from our accounts following the brand’s identity and tone; nothing is published without review during the first two weeks.
- Equipment: you would work with your cell phone. If you bring a camera, better, but not required.
- Coexistence: it’s a hostel. Respect for guests and the team, and discretion when filming people (permission is always asked beforehand).
- Minimum stay 4 weeks. If you leave early, please give us one week’s notice.

Other general rules:

1.- The exchange includes only stay+meals in exchange for support in Guest Experience and the terrace on a rotating schedule which may vary according to the hostel’s needs.
2.- Love can’t be forbidden but summer loves are for vacations. Unfortunately your commitment here is work. If you like, we can offer you a long-stay discount and invite you to the wedding.
3.- The main objective is to encourage community living, sales and promotion of the products offered.
4.- It is prohibited to bring food and drinks from outside to the Terrace and to the room.
5.- It is strictly forbidden to enter rooms not assigned to you as well as to bring visitors to the corresponding room.
6.- Interaction with guests and Casa Pepe’s collaborators should always be respectful, maintaining a professional relationship whether on or off duty.
7.- Respect for Mexican culture
