I had a really nice time at the hostel. Franc is very accommodating to any scheduling needs and the work is very reasonable! I enjoyed working with the other volunteers and would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to stay some days then travel some, the 3 days off schedule allowed us to explore much of Albania!

I originally came here for one month and ended up staying for three, which probably says enough about how much I enjoyed my time here.💛💛💛 Volunteering at the Rooster pushed me out of my comfort zone, helped me grow as a person, gave me more confidence and adaptability than I expected, and led me to meet wonderful people who I'll always remember dearly. 💙 Shout out to Franç, who was always by my side, helping me shine through sarcasm, rum & coke, and whatever hostel chaos came our way. ❤️ I'm really grateful for the experience and would happily recommend it.

The hostel has a friendly atmosphere, the tasks were clearly explained, and I appreciated the trust and flexibility throughout my stay. It was also a great opportunity to meet travelers from many different countries and enjoy Tirana ♥️
Though I misunderstood the food arrangement and expected at least one meal a day, I was able to buy, cook and store my food with no hassle in the hostel as Tirana has very affordable prices overall.

My time at the hostel has been great! I enjoyed meeting volunteers from all different countries. The host, Franc, is a very personable person and has great recommendations for food, drinks, bars, etc. He has great recommendations for everything relating to Albania, really. All of the volunteers were a pleasure to work with and it was enjoyable meeting guests and chatting with them too. I would recommend coming to the hostel & experiencing the Albanian cultures while in Tirana :)

It was my first volunteer experience in Europe and I loved it. Franc makes you feel welcome; he's very kind and funny. The other volunteers were amazing too. I spent a lot of time talking with the guests, Franc, and the other volunteers. We shared time together playing games, having drinks, and chatting. The tasks were very easy, and the hostel was very well organized (the volunteer schedules, the rules, the tasks, the check-ins). I 100% recommend this experience.

The hostel has become a home in Albania. Franc is an amazing and very fun guy, it was a totally positive experience for me. The hostel is cozy, comfortable and perfectly located; you can walk to the main points of the city. There are many restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and a pharmacy just a few minutes from the hostel.
