I had a great time at the hostel! The city of Santander is beautiful and has great weather during the summer. The tasks were easy and the meals Rosa provided were delicious. I learned how to cook many things from here during my time here. I had to leave early because I had complications with my student visa and I am so disappointed I couldn't stay longer. The experience overall felt like going to your favorite aunts house over the summer holiday. Everyday was very peaceful. I met a lot of locals and expats through bumble bff and hinge apps.

This was my first volunteering experience and I must say I was very lucky because Rosa and Katia are charming and made me feel very welcome. Rosa in particular is an admirable, very hardworking woman who cares about our well-being, in addition to being a great cook! A great stroke of luck to be able to try homemade Spanish food!! 😋 The room for volunteers is small, but it is comfortable and clean. The schedules and tasks were always respected and any changes were discussed and agreed beforehand by both parties. Thank you very much for this lovely experience. We will no doubt meet again! 🤗

It wasn't a good experience. My stay was going to be one month, but as soon as I arrived the person in charge suggested that I start looking for another volunteer position since it wouldn't be useful to them because I had no experience in reception. It should be noted that in my application (made more than a month before my arrival) it clearly stated that I did not have experience for the requested tasks. They also told me that another volunteer was about to arrive and there wasn't room for everyone. My stay lasted only one day and I had to look for another accommodation. I hope that in the future they pay more attention to the volunteer's profile so that this doesn't happen again.
