This was my first worldpackers experience and it was truly very amazing! The hostel itself is small and as summer is low season in Gran Canaria, the workload wasn't much the hostel truly is such a kind and welcoming place it feels homey and Carlos and the rest of the staff are very nice! Although they are now working on making the hostel accessible for younger people, which will make it even better!! Gran Canaria in itself is so beautiful and there is so much to explore, including the culture Overall this experience was a perfect mix of getting to know locals and interacting with guests!

This has been one of the best experience that I ever had! :)
The city is pretty, with many spots for walking and the beach it's really close by for chilling or surfing. The host Carlos is a really nice person, always available for a talk and respectful with anyone. One day he brought all the volunteers for a nice day in the montains, we went to the cave's house museum and on the Roque Nublo. Mucha gracias Carlos, quedé genial alli :)

My first experience with Worldpackers was incredible! I had so much fun and would do it a hundred times over. I met amazing people from all over the world, and with the other volunteers we formed a special group. The atmosphere was always positive, with the right balance between work and free time. Carlos is always present and helpful, and you can tell he really cares about the hostel and the volunteers. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my first volunteer experience, and I'm truly grateful for every moment and person I met!

My time volunteering at LuaLua Hostel was truly a special experience. I had a good time at the hostel! The workload is small and the shifts are easy. When I was there, there were 3 other volunteers, all laid back and friendly😄 The owner of the hostel is super kind and understanding: he took all the volunteers on a trip across the island💃🏻 during my stay, there weren't many guests in the hostel, so if you're looking for a relaxing experience, spending time with yourself and for an immersion into Spanish culture, this volunteering is for you!

This was my first solo trip and I couldn't have asked for a better one. The people I met and spent time with were absolutely wonderful, it truly felt like family, and I didn't miss home for a second. Carlos the owner, is the kindest person you'll ever meet. He really listens, communicates openly, and respects the working hours. He even took us on a trip where we got to see some beautiful places, including the most amazing sunset I've ever seen. The work is simple, and there's plenty of free time. I absolutely recommend this experience, I had so much fun! Thanks again for everything!

The hostel is a very quiet hostel in a great location. It's close to the sea, and you can find anything you need nearby. It's different from most other hostels; it's not very big, so it's a great place to socialize and meet new people. As a volunteer, you'll also have the opportunity to work with other equally kind, friendly, and knowledgeable people. The owner is also incredibly helpful and always ready to help you with anything (he's actually a member of the hostel staff). Had such a great time!! The job was as explained and straightforward (5h a day for 3 days on 1 day off, doing check ins and cleaning), the schedule gave me loads of free time to explore Gran Canaria, and the team and guests were lovely. The hostel vibe is very calm and relaxed, which I really enjoyed. Thank you Pilar and Carlos for being great hosts (and for the croissants!).
