I had a wonderful time at the hostel! The hours were respectable and fair, the accommodation was great as well. This is definitely for people who enjoy the outdoors, hiking, castles, that kind of vibe. I do recommend you to have a car or being very okay with hitchhiking since buses are few and far between and they stop pretty early in the day. You'll meet some great people from all over the world, volunteers and guests alike. I already loved Scotland before coming here but this solidified that for me. I 100% recommend this experience! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

I spent a month in the hostel, and the experience has been just perfect! The hostel is beautiful, cozy and set in an amazing location - the closest supermarket is a little far, but the walk is beautiful! The work and hours are absolutely fair and the staff - Liam and Ronan - is a pleasure to work with. I had the great fortune to work with an impeccable team of volunteers - and friends - and to be able to visit most of the Isle. I 1000% raccommend it! :)

My experience in the hostel has been very great. It is a welcoming Hostel that hosts mountain lovers from all over the world. The team of volunteers was brilliant. The tasks are simple, but it tends to get quite busy. If you love nature and hiking, this Volunteering is for you. There are many places to visit on the hostel. I will remember you fondly!

I had a great time at the hostel! The team were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They are flexible and understanding with shifts to ensure volunteers have a fun time and can explore the island. Kyleakin itself is a little remote so be aware of that but it is very peaceful and beautiful so i was never bored.

My month at the hostel was really lovely. Ronan and Lewi are really kind, as well as the other volunteers. The work is easy and as agreed upon. Kyleakin is a lovely, but tiny village, so it's a long walk to get groceries. It's also difficult to get around the island, but you can hitchhike or ride with guests. The daily operations could be a bit more organized, but it didn't bother me at all. I hope to be back here someday!

The building carry a bit of age and could use some TLC, but what this place may lack in comfort, it gives back tenfold in heart. The staff, volunteers & locals welcomed me like family, and I was genuinely overwhelmed by the kindness, sense of community, and support I found here. I would trade comfort any day for an experience like this. I couldn't have chosen a better place for my first volunteer experience. And Lewis, one of my fav new humans in this world, thank you for the endless conversations and laughter. You unexpectedly became one of my fav parts of this chapter 💚
