The environment in this hostel is truly special because of the wonderful people that work there. They really make you feel like a family. I am learning Spanish so they really went above and beyond to help me learn, be patient with me & teach me typical Columbian slang! The hostel is always super busy so it's nice to have a constant of new friendly faces coming through to do the many activities they offer with.

I spent one month working in the hostel and has been a really good experience ! The job is really chill , I was doing most of the times the breakfast with the best worker ever called Liney and we had soo much fun working togheder!. The member of the staff were all really cool people and really nice energy to be there . The location of the hostel is perfect in the middle of the center , the room are nice and the rooftop is really nice too , there is a swimming pool and a bar to chill and evryrhing has been great ! The organisation could be better but has been all positive experience !

República Hostels Volunteers is something that you need to try inside Worldpackers. Jhoan have a excellent personality. He's a good volunteering manager.He makes you your stay pleasant inside the volunteering. Cartagena Colombia is an amazing place than you need to be if you are traveler.My volunteers team inside República Hostels Cartagena are real friends. All are happy with experience. I'm more than happy. I really love my experience inside República Hostels Cartagena Colombia. LOVE and JOY ❤️ in República Hostels Cartagena Colombia.

We had a great time at the hostel! The hostel is a beautiful building, has a nice bar and swimming pool and it's super well located. We met wonderful people from Cartagena who works there, and also many foreign people too. The work is distributed between the volunteers who can help during the breakfast, at reception, with activities or at the bar. It takes 4-5h usually, 6 times a week. We stayed in the volunteers room which is a 8 beds dorm. Thanks, guys!! All the best ;)

It was such a great experience. I worked with very welcoming and friendly people. I mostly do kitchen tasks such as assisting with breakfast and I'm gonna miss working with the lady that taught me everything, It could seem simple but you will learn a lot. It was also a lot of fun to meet people from different parts of the world and local. Cartagena is such a vibrant city and there is so much to do. You will never get bored.

Teaching yoga was an amazing experience in this hostel ! Cool people, very nice team and the place is lovely I felt welcomed and there is always cool things to do here :) The organization could be a bit improved sometimes but it didn't bother me much It's a good place to meet travelers, practice english and a bit of Spanish as well Thanks :)

Volunteering at the hostel is incredible, the infrastructure of the place is very good, the hours are flexible, you can negotiate according to your needs, there is a great respect for the volunteer. The activities to be done are very smooth and all the staff are always willing to help you in any need. I highly recommend volunteering at the hostel, for me the experience was incredible, I went to learn Spanish and gained a second family that welcomed me and treated me very well from start to finish. Thank you to all the persons who made this volunteering something unforgettable.

Volunteering at the hostel was very good. The facilities of the hostel are great, it's always full of guests and there's many activities every week. For personal reasons, I had to leave early, but I would have stayed the full month happily. The thing I think could be better is a more organized, flexible, and diverse schedule, because sometimes it can be tiring to do the same shift everyday.

Volunteering at the hostel was definitely fun! The shifts behind the bar were most of the time really chill and on 'event nights' quite busy (but still fun). It was the perfect job for meeting and connecting with other backpackers and volunteers. The hostel itself is perfectly located in the beautiful 'Centro historico' of Cartagena and has everything you need: pod beds, 2 swimming pools, regular events and a lot of social life. Would definitely recommend volunteering here!
