The experience volunteering in the hostel was very nice! Mario and Broghan were very helpful in a lot of moments. The hours of work are very flexible and the work itself is very easy :) I would totaly recomend to volunteers coming to the hostel to bring waterproof jacket and waterproof shoes! There is a lot of great things to do in the citys near the hostel but is important to know that the transportation is a bit complicated. I will never forget the cozy living room, card games, hikes, movie nigths, walks and views. ❤️

T I had such a lovely time at the hostel! Mario is a genuinely kind and welcoming host who always makes you feel at home. The work is easy and fair, the hostel has a really nice atmosphere, and the nature around Connemara is absolutely beautiful. It's the perfect place to slow down, meet amazing people, practise your English, and enjoy some peace and quiet. I'm really grateful for the experience and all the lovely memories I'm taking with me. Thank you, Mario, for everything! I'd definitely recommend this experience to anyone thinking about volunteering here.

My Worldpackers volunteering experience started with a monthly stay in the hostel and I couldn't be more thankful for all I had learned . The place is very cozy, definietly a catch for nature/ hiking lovers, very light and easy work and of course amazing people which I will remember for life. Mario was an excellent host supporting us on our every step for what I am extremely grateful. Great way to practice your English speaking skills, meet new people and enjoy the beauty of Connemara. I spent a wonderful month at the hostel. Thank you, Mario, for being so kind, friendly and welcoming. My beginner level was immediately understood, and I was able to improve in a caring and warm environment. Mario was very flexible in driving the other volunteers and me to the nearest town or to other places in the beautiful Connemara. All this, always with a smile and good humour, which I will miss a lot!

I had an amazing month in the hostel. The work was pretty simple, not very demanding and usually didn't take up the whole 5h ( it was the off season though so there is probably more to do during the summer months). The hostel is kind of far away from everything and close to nature which are one of its greatest strengths although it sometimes makes it tricky to get to a specific destination. Don't worry though, with enough planning you can really see a lot of beautiful places around Connemara (highly recommend visiting the Inishbofin island, the landscape is absolutely outstanding)

I really loved my stay at Ben Lettery. The surrounding nature is beautiful, with mountains, lakes and beaches everywhere. It's a bit difficult to go around with public busses, but Mario was available to take us places and hijacking is a also a safe option. The hostel's common areas are big and clean, there is also a living room just for the staff. Mario is a fantastic host, always helpful and available for everything. The work was easy and the hours respected, we would always finish earlier. If you search for a more relaxing experience immerse in nature, I would racommend it 100%

This was my first volunteering experience on the platform and I had a very pleasant stay here. The location is truly amazing and Mario, the host, is really friendly and attentive to the volunteers. There's always something to do or see in the area, so I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
