The experience

We are one of the more experienced certified organic farms and have taken volunteers from all cultures since 1991. We teach a vegetarian and accept a vegan lifestyle with respect for nature and our fellow man. Our lifestyle is simple and wholesome. For many years we have created an environment showing a way to live without stressing nature and while sharing it many people have found friends here who also care about the enviornment.

Program Details

During the seasons we have different activities around the various stages of farming as well as taking turns cooking vegetarian or vegan food. Once a week after work the group cleans the areas they share like kitchen and bathroom. your bedroom is your own business as long as it is clean when you leave. Before applying please look at our web site on www.ramsjogard.net and read under volunteer. There you can see how to contact me directly with questions about the files and answers in the green ink in the file on our wishes but apply through Worldpackers to get accepted on the farm. On the website you can see pictures from years past and videos with themes of cooking vegetarian and medicinal plants. Welcome to our farm!

Activities & Shift

We start at 8:00 with morning meeting after breakfast. At 11:00 we have a break for a snack and at around 14:00 we eat lunch together. We continue our morning projects after lunch. The days vary after what projects we are doing. The workday hours vary depending on what time of year it is but we always compensate a longer work day with a later start another day or an extra day off. Generally we work every day and you choose your free day, at least once a week. Some people like to be on the farm all the time even on their free days and they can eat with the group if they do the dishes:) You can always cook when you are hungry and also on free days. It is ok to take more than one day off a week if you plan this with us when you arrive so we know when we can count on you. We prefer a longer stay, like a month as it takes a while settle in and learn the various things we have to teach.
