Our three weeks at the hostel was an incredible experience and we are very grateful to Jefferson, Sofia and the entire family and team for welcoming us into their home. From the very beginning they made our time more personal by arraigning to pick us up from the airport for a reasonable amount. Throughout our stay, they were approachable, willing to answer questions or simply chat. You can tell this is more than a business, it's their home and they genuinely enjoy sharing it with visitors and travelers from around the world. If you find yourself in Quito, I would highly recommend!

I'm so thankful for my experience and the time spent at the hostel. The hosts, their staff, the guests and volunteers there make the place much more special than an old building that's conveniently located in the historic center. The hospitality and genuine caring neighborly vibe and treatment that is fostered there is unique and very enjoyable. The work exchange is very fair and reasonable, the shifts, the accommodations and the overall expectations and workflow are not challenging and give you plenty of free time and energy for exploring nearby or relaxing at the hostel.

I arrived at night and left the next morning. I was shown the room, but the top bed had no stairs, making it hard to climb. The lights never fully turned off, and the lamp was on the ceiling beside me. The bed and room were uncomfortable, dirty, and cluttered, with bottles around. I couldn't sleep due to noise, footsteps, and people yelling all night. I texted Jeferson I wouldn’t stay. I have nothing against him or the place, but I can't stay somewhere I don't feel comfortable.

That was my first volunteering experience and it couldn't have been better. I felt welcomed from the moment I arrived, I spent three weeks and I understood one more thing; it was an incredible experience.
It's a quiet space, well organized and with very friendly people; you learn a lot every day and you always feel part of the team. The place is in the historic center, so there's a lot to see and visit when you have free time.
I leave with good memories and learnings. I would definitely recommend it, especially for those who want a real experience in a customer service and lodging establishment.

Don't hesitate to apply to be part of the hostel family! It is a hostel fully managed by the most loving family in Ecuador. The atmosphere is what you would expect when arriving at a home. The activities are simple and the owners are always there to support you in everything you need. They always respond quickly and they make sure your stay is as peaceful as possible.
