I had an amazing experience in Cabarete and I'm so happy I chose to spend part of my trip here! What made it truly special were the people: I met incredible volunteers and Nelson was always kind, helpful and ready to give advice. Sharing everyday life, going out and discovering Cabarete with them made it unforgettable. I had plenty of free time to enjoy the beaches, sunsets, nightlife and water sports, as the work was simple. The accommodation is basic and the bathrooms and cleanliness could be improved, but overall I'm so grateful for all the people I met and the memories we made together! ❤️

I really enjoyed the location and the neighborhood and I felt very welcome at the hostel. I also met some wonderful people during my stay. The host was hospitable, very friendly and always willing to help us settle in. He gladly recommended places to visit and shared useful information about the Dominican Republic. I am giving four stars because the cleanliness and overall condition of the accommodation could be improved. I would also have liked to see more care and attention from the host toward the place itself. Overall, it was a warm and memorable experience✌🏻

I loved my time at the hostel. Nelson is an amazing host and the hostel has a great community of volunteers. Nelson showed me around the area and helped me with transportation to and from the hostel. The place is laid back and great if you like going out at night.

A fantastic hostel! We made some wonderful friends! For direct contact with the community, close to the beach and the beautiful city, and for meeting people from other places, this hostel is perfect!

I came during low season. no communication between me and the manager when I arrived , so i had no idea where to go or what to do. i came and the whole place was empty. there were no shifts that the manager gave us. there was really nothing to do. the hostel itself was also pretty neglected and could really use an upgrade (also the cleanliness). we did get to see some fun places in the area tho, another volunteer had a car :) he also asked for the money through another volunteer, which was weird. he didnt speak about it to me directly.

The hostel is in a pretty quiet area, yet just a few minutes from downtown and the beach.
It was a great experience, you don’t have to work too hard since the job is simple, and you can enjoy the nearby beaches and restaurants, not to mention the perfect sunsets. If you like to party, the nightlife is pretty lively 🤩.

It was a fun 12 days somewhere new. There were things about the hostel i didnt know about until arriving there such as the volunteer bedroom not having a working bathroom, but really aside from the that I was asked little in terms of volunteer work, certainly nowhere near 3 hrs. The people I stayed with, but local and also international travelers were welcoming. Overall this was a nice little volunteer visit, would recommend.

I had a wonderful time during my stay at the hostel. Nelson, the main host, is a great person who knows how to make volunteers feel at home. Cabarete is a wonderful place, I had the opportunity to meet lots of people. Activities ( beach, kite, surf) and nightlife is 100 % worth it. the hostel is a house steeped in history, located on a very safe street.

Being at the hostel was literally a home away from home. From the very first day, I felt like I was part of the daily life at the hostel, which is just a big, chaotic family. The permanent residents at the hostel include you from day one, showing you around what is the prettiest little town centered around water sports, and sharing their life with you. The tasks vary daily, with great flexibility to accommodate the volunteer's schedule. The immersion in the culture is unmatched, especially if speaking Spanish - you will literally feel like you have grown up there. cannot wait to go back :)

Very good experience, my sister and I will keep very good memories. Perfect if you like to party and meet people from all over the world. Simple work. Clean and welcoming hotel. Nelson is very cool (except in the morning :)).
